This addon requires a server to find if a IDN is likely to be a homograph of a legit domain.
The server performs an OCR using different oclusive patterns with the non ASCII chars in the IDN and retrieves from the top ten million domains rank DB.
The addon is set to use a server in the University Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), but users are welcome to install their own server. Contact the authors {andres.marin,sergio.chica}@uc3m.es for the server code.
The server at the University (UC3M) collects apache2 logs which are only used for research reasons and are exclusively shared with researchers from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).
