I use the app as an expat, but it's gambling with 20 % chance to succeed. And it'S not a key problem of the add on in Firefox but the app itself. To make it work ( sometimes) I have always to turn down my North VPN, restart the computer and hope. Connection a Belgian service like retirement works usually a first time but connecting a foreign service via this app/ card reader is like a 10% chance of success. Everything works incl recognizing the card reader, the ID Card,.... but login fails !. And that means restart everything from beginning. All WIn11 Test on my computer tell me that everything is ok, but the connection fails, , I'm not asked for the pin. I have this problem on 2 different desktops (Win11, Win 10) and one laptop (WIn11) now for over 2 years. Extremely frustrating
