    I really appreciate the concept behind blockerDNS; however, I have to point out that the project hasn’t seen any updates since 2020/2021. Because the filter lists and the extension are outdated, I unfortunately cannot recommend using it at this time. It would be great if the developer could resume maintenance or provide an official status update regarding the future of the project

    Doesn't work correctly. Redirect you to localhost. Tested on Firefox 65 and 75

    Having not used this type of ad filtering before i was not sure what to expect ,it seems to do as good a job as a list based blocker with no lists to update ,very good

    Thank you for the kind words.

    For what it's worth I did want to clarify that it is a list based blocker, with a base list included in the underlying code. It then checks for new versions of the list, which is actively updated and centrally maintained and, in fact, is the same list used across blockerDNS's different blocking options (the browser extensions, DNS over TLS, DNS over HTTPS and standard DNS). The most recent list update was March 24.

    If you're ever interested, you can pull a copy of the list from the same place the extension itself does: https://blockerdns.com/hosts-ads.json (It's over 46k items long though, so you may not want to open it on your phone!)
