This should not happen at all. There may be something wrong with your Firefox. You can try to reinstall GroupSpeedDial and if it won't help, then I would suggest you to use Firefox reset feature: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings (but backup your dials before, either locally or to the cloud).
