    The extension briefly opens the target URL in a background tab and extracts its JavaScript-rendered DOM (document.documentElement.outerHTML) when used in a form on signedtext.com. This is the essential functionality needed to generate an accurate cryptographic signature of the web page exactly as the user sees it.

    • Improved verification on social media sites (Facebook, LinkedIn): Block content is now extracted using the Selection API instead of innerText, which fixes verification failures caused by deeply nested DOM structures. Emoji images are temporarily replaced with their alt text during extraction.
    • Improved popup positioning: Verification result popups now auto-flip above the badge when there isn't enough space below. Popups are appended to document.body to avoid overflow:hidden clipping on sites like LinkedIn.
    • Popup status feedback: The extension popup now shows real-time verification status (working, block count, errors) instead of closing immediately.
    • Better error messages: Token error message now guides users to register on SignedText.com for a free API token.
    • Language detection: Language is now auto-detected from the browser instead of a manual setting in options. The language selector has been removed from options.
    • Terminology update: "Biometrically confirmed" changed to "Physically confirmed" to better reflect the verification method.
    • Reload notice: Options page now shows a reminder to reload the current page after changing settings.
