A better addon that does not require your computer/person info: Search by Image (search "Search by Image addon")

This was my go-to addon for image reverse search. Now, it's nothing but crap. Wants to collect personal data (IT'S IN THEIR TERMS) - READ IT! Don't let them tell you differently. Now they want to collect shit from you to use against you if they deem it "UNLAWFUL". They want your IP, times and dates you visit the site, and how you use the service. This is also shared with "partners" to try and place ads on their stuff, which I get none of anyway... but there are many other addons that do the same this addon does.

The TinEye Extension does not collect personal data or track the sites you visit. When you right-click an image and select 'Search image on TinEye,' this sends the image URL to our servers so you can see the search results on TinEye.com.

When you install our extension, we are required to get your permission to share these image URLs with the extension. This is the only data used for the reverse image search—TinEye does not collect or store any other information.

I did uninstall it and will not be using this service. Was good while it last.

TinEye extension worked perfectly well in Firefox for many years. Unfortunately now all searches just results in a "Oops, something went wrong" message. It no longer works, but it was great while it lasted.

finds nothing 99% of the time. I've found Yandex image search way better than this mess.

Das AddOn hat sich zwar korrekt installiert, zeigt aber im Kontextmenü KEINEN Eintrag an. Neuinstallation, Optionen checken, Neustart usw. hat alles nichts gebracht. Es fehlt immer NUR der Eintrag im Kontextmenü. Was soll ich damit nun anfangen?

Overrated.

Got a new pop-up saying I had to share all my data or uninstall the extension. Fuck that. Definitely unistalling. There are already too many apps/services/whatever that try to harvest your data; I'm definitely not keeping an optional one. I guess the one point in their favor is that they notified me of it, but still, if the options are "let me harvest all your data carte blanche" and "uninstall," then there's not really a choice. I'm out, and everyone else should be too.

tineye has literally never worked so having an extension for it is the most pointless thing i could think of
