VoxAI: Text-to-Speech for Firefox — Privacy Policy

VoxAI ("the Extension") is designed as a privacy-conscious, high-performance text-to-speech utility. This policy outlines our minimalist approach to data handling.

1. No Data Collection or Storage

The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data, browsing history, or text content to any services owned or operated by the Extension's developers. No telemetry or analytics are gathered.

2. Text-to-Speech Processing

To provide its core functionality, the Extension processes text in two ways depending on your settings:
- Neural Engine: All text processing and synthesis occur locally on your device. No data leaves your machine.
- Cloud Engine: Text is transmitted directly to a cloud provider for synthesis. Data handling is subject to their standard privacy policies. VoxAI does not store copies of the text sent for synthesis.

3. Session Authentication

The Extension relies on user-initiated session establishment with the cloud service provider. This process is triggered manually by the user, and the resulting session tokens are stored exclusively within the browser's local secure storage.

4. No Technical Support

This Extension is provided "as-is" without any warranty or technical support. No contact email or support infrastructure is maintained.

5. Changes to This Policy

As the Extension does not collect user data or maintain a user database, we cannot proactively notify users of changes. Any future updates to this policy will be included in the Extension's source code and distribution packages.
