The latest update has slowed response time, complicated the interface, and drastically reduced the number of logins that successfully autofill. The dropdown now takes up more screen space for no clear reason. The structure for use has been needlessly altered. After being trained by years of use to click on an entry to fill the login fields, that same action now opens the edit screen. It was a great product that did not need "improving". I will continue to use it, but it is no longer the fast, intuitive tool that it was. After more days of fighting with it, I am downgrading my rating. I am sick of "improvements" that drastically reduce product usability.
Response to the developer response since I cannot email:
Like most of the other commenters I have seen in blogs and other discussions, I have tried that. It does NOT address most of the glaring deficiencies of your "upgrade".
You had a quick, effective product. You have changed the basic user structure, a slap in the face of long-time users, and the new format is MORE difficult to use:
- small fill button in LARGE edit field (how often do you think a user needs to EDIT, rather than FILL a login screen?)
- the changed format above exactly opposite of the muscle memory trained by years as a user of your product
- loading ALL vault items instead of matching only (slower load and why do you think us users used folders and search???)
- larger screen footprint (your app is NOT my primary focus on the screen - it is a TOOL to support what is displayed on the rest of the screen)
It's simple. Respect your users or lose them.
I have moved back to an older version of Bitwarden which I will use until/unless I find another password manager. If you force me to upgrade, I will leave immediately.

Mare sure you are on version 2024.12.4 or above, then check under Bitwarden Settings > Autofill > "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and Bitwarden Settings > Appearance > "Show quick copy actions on Vault" if you want to restore previous functionality that you may prefer.

It works fine in Edge and Crome
Please fix it. - Оцінка 5 з 5від Arman Async, 2 дні тому

Logging in triggers a runaway process that uses more and more memory and CPU cycles. I am forced to kill Firefox in the task manager before I can do anything else on my computer. A single browser extension using 7+ GB of memory is not normal.
UPDATE: Works as expected again with version 2025.7.1 (so far). Rating changed accordingly. - Оцінка 1 з 5від Marc, 2 дні томуThe developers seem to to be testing their extension at all, as since the latest update, the extension freezes completely on every single installation I've seen.
- Оцінка 1 з 5від Twist3r, 2 дні томуTrying to use the Bitwarden Extension in August 2025, it caused Firefox to freeze for 10+ second for any operation, and the extension didn't even work - trying to fill in a password would just cause a 15+seconds freeze, and after that the password was not even filled. Disabling the Bitwarden extension caused Firefox to become lightning fast again as usual, immediately, so this was really a problem with the Bitwarden extension. This is totally unusable and unacceptable, and very sad as Bitwarden is a great service. The extension worked perfectly the last time I used it a few months ago, so this is a new issue (in the meantime I was using the Windows App, which works fine). I really hope this will get fixed quickly.

It freezes the whole browser for ~30 seconds while doing so, before finally letting all that RAM go and actually logging me in. I'm not sure if it's compromised, but I've tried reinstalling Bitwarden and I get the same results. The addon has been nearly flawless for years before, so I'm hoping this is just a temporary issue, but as it stands I find it unusable and highly suspicious about what exactly it's doing to use so much memory and freeze the browser.

It's a great extension but I find that the version gap is just huge... the version on the add-ons is listed as v2025.6.1, but I can't update it on my browser I'm stuck on v2025.2.0
