від Користувач Firefox 15273621, 6 років томуI really like 1Password as a service, but this addon is severly lacking. The overall functionality is there, but several small hiccups make it rather cumbersome to use.
1) It displays a little icon in form fields that you can press to access its functionality. When 1Password is locked (after inactivity) clicking this icon does not in fact open 1password, but displays the message "use ctrl+period to open password". Why would I click the icon if opening 1password wasn't already what I wanted?! Maybe this is a security feature, I don't know? But then make the icon reflect whether 1pw is currently locked or not, so I don't waste time clicking this icon when most of the time doing so achieves absolutely nothing.
2) The 1pw dropdown interferes with firefox' native dropdown in annoying ways. After about one year of usage I still haven't figured out what makes the 1pw dropdown appear and what not.
3) Sometimes when the 1pw dropdown opens up, it makes the whole page jump/move vertically. What's that about?
There are other glitches like this depending on how sites are programmed. Sometimes it's 1pw filling in the fields that makes the whole page jump too.
4) As others have said: It would make a lot more sense if a new password could be saved AFTER the sign up process on a site.
5) There is no way to customize the password generator as there is for exampe in the Android app. If the suggested password doesn't meet the site's criteria you're out of luck using the generator.

1. I appreciate this feedback. The Ctrl+Period shortcut does open the 1Password X pop-up, but I agree that it’d be nice to have the ability to unlock 1Password X directly from the inline menu.
2. It sounds like you’re wanting to use Firefox’s autofill feature as well as 1Password. They can interfere, but we do have a way to disable the 1Password X inline menu if you’d prefer. To do so, turn off the “offer to fill and save passwords” option on the 1Password X settings page.
3. I haven’t heard of any reports of this, so I’d love to know when/where that happens. Do you experience it only on a certain website or does it happen on all sites? Please let us know at support+x@1password.com.
4. This request is on our radar, although determining whether a user has successfully signed into a site has given us some trouble in the past. In the end, we took the most reliable approach to save a Login before moving on to the next page. Not only that, but we need to capture the credentials on the page before moving onto the next, and if we don’t offer to save until moving onto the next page, those credentials need to be stored somewhere. I wouldn’t agree that’s the most secure option, but it’s something we’ll keep in mind as we build future versions of 1Password.

This is true for all extensions actually, including mobile.
It will just assume that you want to use 1password for everyfield: name? age? postcode? etc... the 1password autocomplete will hijack, hide buttons, misbehave when arrows are being pressed for the default/browser values, etc...

I had to change password manager because of lastpass not being able to prevent a data breach every other week so i opted for 1password!

- Оцінка 4 з 5від Chris Hayes, 2 місяці томуUsed 1Pass for about 7 years. Generally pretty solid, and usually the first to adopt new security practices. I like how smooth 2FA is.
The Firefox support could be better—the app always says "Firefox needs an update". Might be Snap related. Otherwise it functions fine. Sometimes the password autofill replaces fields that should be left alone.
1Pass uses a secondary password, called a "Secret Key", it's required when you use a new device. Be aware that you absolutely cannot lose this.
To the reviewer calling it "enshittification"—that's not what that word means. 1P has had secret key as long as I've used it (since 2019), that's long before Cory Doctorow even came up with that word. - Оцінка 1 з 5від Користувач Firefox 19479445, 3 місяці томуThis addon just never works. Constantly being taken to the website to log in for some reason. I don't want a session open to my password manager in my browser. This extension should integrate with the desktop app...not the website. That is how it used to work, if the desktop app was unlocked...the extension worked. Poor browser addon is going to convince me to leave this trash behind...

And the fact that you *have* to rely on a stupid secret key, or else you're just straight up locked out of the application is horrendously bad design.
Enshittification at its finest. AVOID. - Оцінка 1 з 5від Thomas, 3 місяці тому1Password forces me to press the extension button on my browsers toolbar instead of just being able to press the 1Password button embedded in the password field. 1Password UI hangs over important information in the browser and often covers up the "Show Password" button. The UI is clunky and looks outdated, and frustrating to use. Would not recommend, and have uninstalled the browser extension. I will just use the desktop app.

With the new browser add-on update, I don't have to click the icon in the toolbar so now it matches how it works in the chrome browser. Small but very appreciated update.

If there is some other tweak, let me know & I will try it again. But if not, goodbye. I previously had Dropbox Passwords & I did not have to enter a password every time. But Dropbox Passwords is ending soon & they recommended 1Password, but I lost my mind with constantly having to enter the password!

I figured out a work-around: If you click the 1-Password add-on and it doesn't work, then turn it off through Manage Extensions (no need to uninstall). Then close Firefox. Re-open Firefox, and turn the 1-Password add-on back on (through Manage Extensions). Then it will work fine until you restart Firefox again. Hopefully they will get this resolved soon...
