Was trying to find an add-on like this for a year, and it finally came to an end. Reduced the eternity of ChatGPTs egregiously slow response into oblivion. It used to take me 30 seconds average to get a single response but now with this addon it gives it in less than 5 seconds depending on the prompt. It's a life saver!

Great extension. On the other hand it's so bizzare that a company as big as OpenAI can't even make a responsive UI for their product and we have to use such measures...

Idk how a $500B company can't design a functional UI.

Great, boosts the performance by a lot. The only problem I have is that the setting for how many messages to retain does not work and always defaults to 10. It would be great if this bug was fixed, but otherwise amazing job, thank you.

This extension is good in that it successfully removes all but the last 10 messages, this is unfortunately not resolving the performance problems for me. I still have to wait several seconds after scrolling for content to appear and the page lags a ton.

I know from online that cropping the messages resolves some peoples' performance problems (or at least used to), but it's just not doing it for me.

This is the best love it so much thank you for your effort !

UPDATE: After testing the extension once more, it seems to be working fine now. UI lag is no more and I get a response right on time. Works perfectly after the update :) Thanks!

The extension simply doesn't work, which is a huge bummer as I had high hopes for it.

The UI lag is somehow still there, even after scrolling up and confirming that, yes, it's only displaying 10 messages.

On top of that, sometimes it just fails to cut the messages at all, and displays the whole chat despite saying how it's displaying only 10 messages at the bottom.

I was initially confused because there is another plugin, apparently from a different developer, with the same name. I can see how the author of the Firefox add-on used that similarity for extra exposure, which I’m fine with. It actually helped me discover this extension in the first place, so that was a smart move.

The author seems to be a developer himself, probably porting or vibe-coding a Chrome extension to Firefox. Also fine by me.

Works as expected.
Finally, I can run CGPT UI on my old PC, which has >10y old 4 crappy 4 cores CPU.
