  • The project's source code can be found here, and you can also submit bugs: https://github.com/hirschan/news-credibility-score/tree/master
  • This extension uses factual rating classifications sourced from mediabiasfactcheck.com (MBFC). The dataset used in this project was last updated on 2025-12-02.
  • The data contains 9,934 news sources, of which 8,969 (excluding Media Bias/Fact Check itself) are currently active.
  • This web extension transforms MBFC’s publicly available rating categories into numeric scales for display purposes. All displayed scores are custom numeric interpretations derived from MBFC’s publicly available rating categories.
