YouTube sometimes shows different titles and thumbnails for the same video (for example A/B tests). This add-on remembers the first you see for each video and keeps showing these title and thumbnail on the player and in list-style pages (home, subscriptions, search, related videos, and similar).

How it works: The first time a title/thumbnail appears for a video, it is saved locally in your browser. On later visits, these same are shown again for that video ID. Updates run after navigation (including YouTube’s in-page history changes), with short retries so metadata can load—there is no aggressive continuous polling of the whole page.

Scope: The add-on only runs on youtube.com. It does not run on other sites.

Privacy: No accounts, no analytics, and no requests to our servers. Pinned titles are stored only in the browser’s extension storage on your device. See the privacy policy link on this listing for details.

Requirements: Firefox 140 or newer (desktop). Firefox for Android 142 or newer, where applicable.
