Works on Firefox as of Feb 2025 \o/ but I did have to disable uBlock on the steam address for it to show - which obviously isn't a problem as I'm only using it to get into the client :)

Omg I can't tell you how useful this addon is. I can't stress enough how many times my friends would send me cool mods for games, but all links they share would automatically open in my browser, and I want it to open in my Steam client so I can install it there. This is exactly what I wanted and I can tell you were annoyed by this as well xD

Broken. No longer works.

Doesn't seem to do anything at all. Extension says "Can't read or change data on this site" regardless of whether or not I'm on a steam page.

Does what it says. However I wish there was a toggle to make this automatic however. The extension already detects whether you're in a Steam tab, so to have it open the link in Steam automatically and close the tab would be most convenient.
