від zephyr707, 5 років томуjust getting started with this, but seems promising, well done! was hoping to get some stats on number of bookmarks/folders and last bookmarked/date stats. When I copied and pasted a folder of bookmarks it took a long time to populate in the private bookmarks folder, why is that? I think it got all of them though, but for a sec it looked like it only got a few as it was copying them over.
edit: oof ok, so it does show that I have 2630 tabs that I copied in there, but I don't understand why locking and unlocking takes so long, is it the encryption/decryption? It takes over a minute to unlock and populate the folder and the restore progress counter (i.e. ###/2630) goes away if I click away and it is replaced by the lock option again. If I lock while it is restoring that seems like it would be bad and then if I put a new bookmark in there while it is still restoring would that not be good either? I'm guessing this won't scale out well if I have to load more and more bookmarks in there, maybe it was just designed for a few bookmarks

- Оцінка 1 з 5від fatum, 7 днів томуThe extension lost the password. Had to clear all data and restore a backup that didn't have all the bookmarks in it. Time to look for a more reliable plugin

It would be nice to be able to customize the location of the Private Bookmarks folder (mainly so the "Other Bookmarks" folder doesn't get involved), but that's super minor.

It's mentionned that you have to make regulary backup but bookmarks are not enough critical to setup a professionnel backup process, we don't want to worry about backup. - It works until it doesn't. I found exactly the same as many other reviewers: this add-on has a lot of great features, and it works well... until it doesn't. The Private Bookmarks password fails to work after some time. Twice I used this add-on to save bookmarks... and twice, for no apparent reason, the password is no longer remembered by the extension, so I can't unlock these bookmarks. With that, the bookmarks are gone forever. This is a great concept that unfortunately fails at a critical point.

I'm not sure what broke it but possibly my MacOS upgrade to 14.6. Suddenly Firefox wouldn't respond to the Shift-Option-8 hotkey, which is where you enter your password.
I tried reinstalling the add-on, rebooting, etc. Unfortunately, it's evident that I also lost all those private bookmarks in the process, which weren't so much private but archived in Private Bookmarks so they wouldn't be accidentally deleted.
I filed a bug report with the developer last week but I haven't received an acknowledgement of it and the bug hasn't been assigned. - Оцінка 1 з 5від Користувач Firefox 13906799, 2 роки томуThis stopped working after the latest FF update. Password does not unlock bookmarks. Broken and abandoned extension by the dev.

Luckily I make weekly backups of the mozilla folder so I still have access to my hidden links by restoring the latest backup with a working password.
