I downloaded this extension to fix search, but it also makes all of these annoying, unnecessary UI changes that cannot be turned off. I am giving this extension a 1 star because other reviews have complained about this for at least a year and the problem still persists.

Thank you Phoenix for making YT great again! Google company, YOU SUCK! For every little thing we have to use addons nowadays because you fools have to ruin even basic things like searching images and videos!

This is a good, well intentioned extension, but it is constantly slowing Youtube down to the point where Firefox is alerting me that it is doing so and recommends stopping it - the difference in speed is very noticable when it is disabled - which is a shame as it does filter out all the nonsense that YT insist on putting in with your search results. Will disable it for now.

Fantastic add-on that does exactly what it says and lets you customize what functions you want active. Great features that makes the youtube search results and navigation actually functional! I also specifically love that it redirects shorts into the normal video format.

Works exactly as described. Would be nice to have a function for blocking specific channels from search results, but otherwise does what I need.

Update:Youtube is showing unrelated videos now even for normal searches with these videos having no sections. Wish this could be hidden too!
Original:Very good and necessary add-on for using youtube but now it creates 2 links for short redirection. Meaning if you press back button after viewing a short then it redirects to same short again. Have to press back button 2 times for it to work. Not a major annoyance but hope it gets fixed in the future.

for some reason whenever i have this add on enabled it tanks youtube's loading. it gets REALLY slow. not worth the search fixing.

It does a lot to fix the unusable YouTube search results. It's so beautiful I want to cry.

I can't use YouTube without it... And Please add the option to close the left sidebar if possible. It's open by default because the YouTube team must be trolls.

Thankfully does as advertised, but makes YouTube pages load far slower on my machine. Makes the site nearly unusable, unfortunately.

It does what it says, but still, nothing can fix YouTube's cancerous search results.

For example, I watched an Angry Joe Video about Blood Bowl (videogame) a few months ago. Well, if I search for "Tabletop Blood Bowl Second Season Review" I get that video I already watched from Angry Joe as the third result, which is completely irrelevant.

2 scrolls down, there's an Angry Joe video for The Last of Us, followed by an Angry Joe video from 13 years ago, Then a few relevant results here and there, and then an ocean of shitty video gaming channels I used to watch a decade ago.

It seems like YouTube's algorythm is trying incredibly hard to show you what it thinks you
"really" want instead of what you ACTUALLY asked for... but hey, at least no more stupid YouTube shorts in my results thanks to this addon.
