Начиная с версии 3.0 поменялось меню плагина (стал как на Chrome), плагин деградировал, начал тормозить, "визуальный" инструмент для настройки блокирования на самом деле текстовый, без возможности включить дополнительные настройки (тогда какой в нём смысл???).
По этому скачивайте из истории плагина версию "Adblock Plus 2.9.1", к нему скачивайте дополнение "Element Hiding Helper (for Adblock Plus by Felix Dahlke)".
