I know the github explanation says it already has access to ALL data on ALL websites, so not a new concern, but forgot to consider that it does NOT have access to Firefox "Private Window" for banking transactions and other sensitive browsing. Moreover, 'Mandatory Clipboard Permission' fetches data from outside the Firefox, access system-wide and not limited to image-only... i.e. all text and everything, which makes it hugely vulnerable for passphrases or other sensitive data to be used inside "Private Window" anymore...
Prior Disabling and later RE-enabling extension before and after every banking transaction is not a good or practical option, neither keeping to using the older release and never updating... Some vulnerable permissions such as all system-wide 'Clipboard' access need to be enforced by Mozilla to be kept as 'Optional' and initially 'Disabled'... especially when something Firefox / Mozilla itself 'Recommends'; it's absolutely important to consider to avoid uncertain possibility of security and privacy breaches via firefox or its recommended extensions.
Again, please Developer, please don't think I'm unreasonably complaining, or undermining your fantastic effort that you give for the world, really really appreciate your works, but please please consider various scenarios and possible dangers in it. Thanks a ton, again.

I don't like that I need 2 steps in the context menu to get to what my default engine is. I wish I could set a default engine to use and when I click on "Search by Image" option on the main context option it would use the default I set, but when you hover, the sub menu opens like now and you can choose another engine. I would love to drop the second step. It feels if I use this a thousand times a day and now it is 2000 because of second step. :-)
Brilliant Add-on, I love that we have an option of X reverse engines all in one 10 out of 10 for that. So sad about the old Google reverse image lookup no longer working. I am also using "Image Max URL" Add-on now and I can highly recommend this one also, wonderful for finding larger or better images of you image.Phản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 2 tháng trướcI'm glad you like the extension! Extensions can only add a single top-level context menu item, but you could disable the rest of the search engines from the extension's options to search with your preferred engine from the context menu, without having to open a submenu. The drawback is that the "Open image" tool would no longer be accessible from the context menu and the browser toolbar.
If you have more than one engine enabled, and you would like to initiate a search with all of them from a top-level context menu item, you could also set the "Search all engines" option to "From context menu". That way the rest of the features would still remain accessible from the browser toolbar popup.
The legacy Google service is still available in the extension, now listed as Google Images (deprecated), but it only works for some users, you can enable it from the extension's options. People in the EU have had some luck restoring access to the service by using a Google account and following this guide: https://github.com/dessant/search-by-image/issues/309. - Xếp hạng 5 trong số 5bởi Người dùng Firefox 19634657, 2 tháng trước
