🎛️ 6-Band Equalizer
Fine-tune bass, mids, and treble with 6 frequency bands (60Hz–10kHz). Includes presets: Flat, Bass, Vocal, Treble, and V-Shape.

🔇 Quick Mute
One-click mute with visual feedback on the icon badge and favicon.

⚖️ Left/Right Balance
Pan audio between left and right channels. Great for fixing poorly mixed content or single-earphone use.

🌙 Night Mode
Compresses dynamic range so quiet parts are audible and loud parts won't blow your ears out. Perfect for late-night watching.

🎚️ Normalize
Reduces loud spikes with dynamic compression. Prevents distortion at high boost levels.

⚖️ Auto Balance
Automatically corrects left/right imbalance in poorly mixed audio. Detects persistent stereo offset and compensates in real time.

📡 Mono Mode
Merges stereo into mono — useful when one channel is missing or you're using a single earbud.

🔉 Cut Rumble (High-pass)
Removes low-frequency hum and noise below 80Hz. Cleans up AC hum, mic rumble, and fan noise.

🔈 Low-pass Filter
Cuts harsh high-frequency hiss above 12kHz. Smooths out overly bright or sibilant audio.

💾 Profiles
Save your favorite volume + EQ combos as named presets. Click to load, double-click to rename. Settings auto-save to the active profile. Import and export profiles as JSON for backup or sharing.

🏷️ Per-Tab Memory
Each tab remembers its own volume, EQ, and toggle settings independently. Switch tabs and your settings are right where you left them.

⌨️ Keyboard Shortcuts
• Alt+Shift+↑ — Volume up 10%
• Alt+Shift+↓ — Volume down 10%
• Alt+Shift+M — Toggle mute

🔖 Badge & Favicon Indicator
The extension badge shows current volume level. The page favicon gets a colored dot: green (normal), yellow (loud), red (extreme/muted).

PRIVACY

VolMax does NOT collect any data. No analytics, no tracking, no network requests. Everything is processed locally using the Web Audio API. Your settings are stored in your browser and never leave your device.
