- Xếp hạng 1 trong số 5bởi Eda190, 7 năm trướcEditing cookies doesn't work (I clicked Add / Edit cookie, Copy last selected, wrote my value and hit save, and nothing happened. Cookie still bears the old value), UI is crappy and user unfriendly. Definitely wouldn't recommend for anyone looking for replacement of legacy but well working https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookies-manager-plus/
EDIT: To adress author's comment - I mean the value of the actual cookie. It doesn't update in interface neither touches the cookie at all. It still has the value that it had before I tried to edit it (tested with my own website).
I suggest you to fix the bugs, make standart addon interface - a window rather than HTML page (So I don't have to type the adress myself, but just click the button on the page where I want my cookies displayed). Then I will gladly change my rating and will happily use this addon. Until then, disabled.Phản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 7 năm trướcEDIT: Try the latest version (1.4). If you continue to experience issues, please contact me by e-mail.
What do you mean by "cookie still bears the old value"?
Are you looking at the interface,
the interface after clicking on "Search" again,
or the site itself?
The results in the interface are not automatically updated when new cookies are added (the reason is to make sure that the interface looks stable; if the interface were to be updated immediately, then any cookie change initiated by another website can cause the list of cookies to move around).
PS. In the next update the workflow for editing will be improved, every cookie will have an Edit button to edit the content and automatically update the UI to mark the cookie as edited. - Xếp hạng 5 trong số 5bởi Người dùng Firefox 13541625, 7 năm trướcThis extension will NOT delete cookies with V57.0.
To test this extension, I started by trying to delete expired cookies.
You can select them in the UI and click the "remove selected" button at the bottom and they will be greyed out in the list but that is it. If you refresh the list they are not greyed out any more.
Since there is a "restore selected" button I thought maybe you had to close the tab to complete the delete but that didn't work either. I even set the FF Tracking Protection to Never.
What am I missing????
Looks like V1.4 fixes this issuePhản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 7 năm trướcWere you trying to delete cookies with a red expiry date?
If not, are you using any non-default browser settings?
If yes, install the latest version (1.4) and try again. As of 1.4 such expired cookies are explicitly deleted if needed. - Xếp hạng 3 trong số 5bởi Stephen Smith, 7 năm trướcPlease add support for resizing and sorting columns.

Feature request: add keyword search. For example, i need to delete all cookies from aliexpress.com work. Now i need to select several domains to do it. Just entering word "ali" can select whole cookies from all domains at once.
Update: (How to write new report?) Next thing: Expired cookies (colored in red) - why its are not deleted immediately, like the rest of the usual cookies? Why such difficulties with editing, it's a waste of time, which negates the entire speed of working with cookies. I was really annoed until I finally read popup message under thats cookies. - Xếp hạng 1 trong số 5bởi BlueDusk95, 8 năm trướcI don't understand how to change a value within a cookie.

đã đăng 8 năm trướcIn version 1.4 (latest):
1. Click on the Edit button at the right of a cookie row.
2. Modify the fields.
3. Save the changes.
Version 1.3.1 and before:
1. Click "add cookie".
2. Click the "Copy last selected cookie" button.
3. Modify the fields.
4. Save the changes. - Xếp hạng 4 trong số 5bởi blinix2, 8 năm trướcI would give a 3 star but this is a good enough alternative to other cookies manager now that firefox killed all others. Now the only thing will be to improve the UI and this will be a 4-5 star.

- Xếp hạng 3 trong số 5bởi Lukas Mai, 8 năm trướcSort of functional, but the user interface is pretty bad.
You can search for cookies, but only if you already know exactly which cookie you're looking for. E.g. if you know that cookies have a "host" field, you can enter an exact name there and click "search". It only finds exact matches (no substring search) and there is no autocompletion. The UI form is spaced out all over the window, so you might not even see the buttons at the bottom at first glance. As far as I can tell, you can't really edit existing cookies. There's a "new cookie" form (which completely replaces the view/search form, you can't have both open at the same time) and its fields always start out empty, even if you had an existing cookie selected before. Even if you've managed to create your own cookie by filling all fields and clicking the "save" button, there is no apparent way back to the overview screen. The "new cookie" form just stays open and sits there. Fortunately the "cancel" button doesn't actually cancel your new cookie but takes you back (?).
3 stars because the add-on technically works (I think?), but the UI is borderline unusable.Phản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 8 năm trướcYou don't have to know the full host, use "*" as host name.
And I admit that the UI can be improved. It is optimized for the use case of removing cookies, modification of cookies was bolted on later. The UI is also optimized for mobile (because there is no cookie manager on Firefox mobile).
Pull requests for an improved UI are welcome... - Xếp hạng 1 trong số 5bởi Emanuel, 8 năm trước

EDIT: Updated my rating. Still, I would feel better, if the privacy policy link is updated in the add on descriptions or in the official Mozilla add ons privacy policy section.Phản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 8 năm trướcEDIT: I added a concise yet complete privacy policy at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/a-cookie-manager/privacy/
I have no explicit privacy policy because the add-on is not collecting any data.
If you would feel better, in absence of an explicit privacy policy, my policy is at https://robwu.nl/privacy/ :

It kind of worked from the beginning, after awhile, it required me to choose something called "Cookie Jar" from the list, but the list was completely empty and I couldn't Save the edited cookie.
What happened all of the sudden? The choosing "Cookie Jar" option never popped up before and why now? I tried uninstalling it multiple times and that option still popped up.Phản hồi của nhà phát triển

- Xếp hạng 3 trong số 5bởi joebt, 8 năm trướcThanks for beginning a cookie manager for Fx 57+. I know it's brand new & takes a lot of work. Just trying to give some useful suggestions.
1) Re: Taurean75's comment: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/a-cookie-manager/reviews/896808/ - -
yes, I think they meant as in the link you posted: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/user_interface/Popups.
That's the way many addons provide menus, where options may require frequent changing.
2) If I understand, why have any addon open in a NEW TAB, instead of using a toolbar icon? Not a requirement for Fx 57 / webextensions? Or just the fastest way to get Cookie Manager up & running?
Most Fx 57 ready addons I use allow adding icons with drop menus to toolbar. Few require using about:addons to *change* (most) options - especially for cookies.
3) Suggestion: post a few more screenshots on MAO w/ some explanations. Probably entice more users to try it. I see Cookie Monster's dev has pulled it from AMO. Lots of users will be looking for replacement.
Keep up the good work. For ideas, I'd look at features in the more popular cookie managers - that aren't updating to webextensions.
If you want feedback of what's most important to users to implement 1st, maybe setup a support page on http://forums.mozillazine.org, as other addon devs did. One post could be a poll for wish list.
I could tell you some cookie features I've used most - for years, & read others say were important to them, but it'd make this review long(er). Maybe you don't need ideas for now. :) But, feel free to PM me.

đã đăng 8 năm trước> Curious-why open an addon in a new tab?
When I wrote this extension many years ago, I wanted to only enable it when I wanted to edit cookies, which is rarely.
When I published the add-on to Firefox, the initial use case is Firefox for Android, which does not have an extension button (as of Firefox 55, it is possible).
In version 1.3, I have added an option to not automatically open the add-on upon startup, and also an extension button to quickly access the cookie manager via the extension button.
3) The add-on is functional, but the UI is not really that strong. I expect the UI to be improved in one of the next versions, so I haven't published a screenshot yet.
> If you want feedback (...) maybe setup a support page
I have published the source code on Github, together with an issue tracker @ https://github.com/Rob--W/cookie-manager/issues - Xếp hạng 5 trong số 5bởi Taurean, 8 năm trướcA little inconvenient but it works!
A pop-up UI would be nice instead of enabling / disabling it.
RE: Either one would do.

đã đăng 8 năm trướcDo you mean an extension popup (e.g. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/user_interface/Popups) or a separate tab/window?
Edit: Implemented in version 1.3 - Xếp hạng 5 trong số 5bởi Người dùng Firefox 13131993, 8 năm trướcIt's the only add-on I find to show session cookies in private window but still it can't delete cookies in TorBrowser [7.0.1 (based on Mozilla Firefox 52.2.0) ], throwing this error:
`Cannot modify 1 private cookies because the sites are not reachable. Try to temporarily disable Tracking Protection at Settings > Privacy.`
Tracking Protection is off (It's so by default in TorBrowser). I disabled NoScript but didn't help. Any idea?

And where is 1.3? :)

I got 1.3 from git repo and It worked! thanks following this!Phản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 8 năm trướcThere are a number of issues that cause this problem (the worst one being https://bugzil.la/1381197). I have implemented some work-arounds in version 1.3 so that the extension works in most cases in the TOR Browser . Phản hồi của nhà phát triển

That screenshot was taken in Firefox 53 for Android.
If you have a newer version, the icon is not shown and the Cookie Manager is only started when it is enabled.
I did it in this way to encourage users to disable the add-on when they don't need it.- Xếp hạng 5 trong số 5bởi Người dùng Firefox 12936698, 8 năm trướcFinal edit, sorry for all the edits.
Dev responded to my review and addressed issues mentioned. This Ext works wonders. Super useful IMO! Thanks. Oh.. "Options" still doesnt do anything when touched. Not sure if norm.Phản hồi của nhà phát triển
đã đăng 8 năm trướcI just published a new version which works in Firefox 53 and earlier too.
In Firefox 53 and earlier, WebExtension add-ons cannot open a new tab, so I added an icon to the address bar that opens the tab upon click.
Due to another bug in Firefox (which is fixed in version 55), this icon is visually very small. Put your finger at the bottom-right side of the icon if it is difficult to aim and then the cookie manager will be opened.
PS. The add-on is functional, but the UI can be improved. I just wanted to quickly be able to remove individual private browsing cookies, and did not have time to create a fancy UI yet. Feedback is welcome.
EDIT: "Options" not working is a bug in Firefox for Android, see https://bugzil.la/1302504 .
