How detection works (heuristics)
- Domain checks: punycode (xn--), look‑alikes of official wallet domains, suspicious TLDs
- Content checks: seed/recovery/private‑key keywords in text/placeholders
- UI checks: deceptive “Connect wallet” or phrase‑entry prompts

Permissions used
- activeTab / <all_urls>: scan the current page for phishing signals
- notifications: show a warning if phishing is detected
- storage: save simple on/off settings locally

Privacy
CryptoShield does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. No page content, browsing history, or telemetry leaves your device. Settings are stored locally only.
