Sorry, you are correct that pinned status isn't preserved. In addition, I'm unaware of such a setting I can reference in the FF API that let's me query/set it. Though, it certainly could exist. I probably wont add it unless someone requests a code merge for me to look at. This is an open source project and maintained with free time and motivation. =)
