Dishita's express application really works well and the support is great. I was having difficulty with some downloads not playing properly, turns out it was a codec problem that Dishita showed me how to fix from within the application. If a download fails or won't play properly, try the download again but this time change the video codec (there's a drop-down) to vp09.xx (not vp9). I didn't realize it, but you can change the codec from the "video codec" drop-down. It's very simple.

It's impossible to tell if you need to change to codec before the download is finished. The only way I can tell is that the downloaded video simply doesn't play. So try the default codec first, and if it doesn't play, download it again with a different codec. Remember that the "vp9" codec (if it's in the dropdown) does NOT work, and only the vp09.xx codec does. vp09.xx was the one that worked for all my problem videos.

After satisfactory using Easy YouTube Downloader for some time within YouTube, in the last weeks I constantly had a problem that I could not download, and on the YouTube site there was a message from the makers of Easy YouTube Downloader, stating that YouTube was constantly making their lives more difficult.

I wasn’t really sure that said message was from them, so I sent following email to them:

“Is it really you that tells us that Youtube again is blocking your proxies and that you're now in the process of making a desktop app and want us to fill out a form, or is it Youtube that tries to get our names and email addresses.”

Not long after that I received a nice email, saying that is was not YouTube, but the Easy Download program makers that put that message there, and they also explained a bit more about a desktop App they were developing and which I could download and mentioned the costs.

I then sent them following email:

“thanks for your explanation. In the meantime I paid the $30 (which is too cheap, in my opinion) and downloaded the Beta software.
Thanks again”

I’ve now used the downloaded beta-program for a few downloads, and it really works amazingly good and fast. Very easy, no manual necessary, you can specify many downloads and then start downloading them in the background.

Be advised though that the default setting in the beta-program is for downloading in “Best” quality. I didn’t think much of it, but my first downloaded file was a very HD file (3820x2160), size over 3 GB and my older Smart TV couldn’t handle it.
I then changed some pre-defined settings (easy to do) and then downloaded the same file in 1920x1080 resolution, like the downloads I made in the past and now my (not so) Smart TV could handle them as well.

Of course that size problem has nothing to do with the Easy Downloader program, that really shines and does a very good job, and I stand to my remark that $30 is far too cheap for such an amazing program, that now, as a stand-alone App, can also download from almost any URL, so not just YouTube.
Please give it a try, it’s worth it !!

Thanks, Dishita, for bringing back the best addon in the world! I don't know how I could live without the videos on my laptop (don't like youtube that much...).
I love it and I hope, it will work a long time now!

Many thanks to Dishita for his great work and recommendation to try the beta version of the desktop app, since the add-on was banned from YT a month ago.
I didn't use all the features yet, but the desktop app seems to work fine on my Mac, no issue encountered so far.
I would like also to underline that the add-on was working good with Firefox as well until it was banned from YT, no matter if you made donation or not.
I'm looking forward to the official release of the desktop app.

A few words to the users who are blaming Dishita that the add-on doesn't work.

Well it was worth the wait as now that the bugs have been cleaned out the interface works seamlessly on Windows10 and is a reliable and fast add on to use.

The latest version of the Downloader works very well. Well done! The Support team is also very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!
