A significant update across the board — featuring new search capabilities, a completely rewritten backgrounds system, a bunch of long-standing bug fixes, and a general pass on performance and code cleanliness.

✨ What's New

• 🔍 Perplexity AI Search — Added Perplexity AI as a search engine option.
• 🎉 "What's New" Modal — New installs and major updates now trigger a dedicated modal, ensuring you’re instantly up to speed with latest changes.
• 🎨 Greeting Color Control — Customize how your greeting looks. Choose Default for classic styling, Smart to automatically choose the color according to your background, or Custom to pick your own color.
• 💾 Selective Export — The export modal now lets you choose exactly which categories to back up (Personalization, Appearance, Privacy, Search, Shortcuts, Backgrounds) rather than dumping everything.
• 🔒 Hide Lock Icons — Added a privacy option to hide the lock icon on password-protected shortcuts for a completely minimalist look.
• 📦 Integrated Update Guide — Added a helpful guide inside Data Management showing your current version status and how to update safely without losing data.
• 🖼️ Bigger Backgrounds — The local background image file limit has been raised from 5 MB to 25 MB for gorgeous, high-resolution photography.

⚡ Improvements

• 🚀 Rebuilt Background System — Completely rewritten from scratch. It loads and saves backgrounds faster, compresses images intelligently on upload, and is significantly more stable.
• 🌐 Offline Font Caching — All fonts are now cached locally by the service worker, allowing the extension to look perfect even when completely offline.
• 🛡️ Tightened Security — Editing or deleting a password-protected shortcut now strictly requires the master password. Import handling for older master password backups has also been improved.
• 🧱 Seamless Settings Navigation — Switching between settings tabs now smoothly resets your scroll position to the top to prevent disorientation.
• 🧹 Codebase Cleanup — Moved massive SVG definitions out of index.html and into a dedicated icons.svg file, improving icon rendering reliability and codebase cleanliness.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• Fixed dark mode custom colors failing to apply visually in real-time.
