Why does this addon requests to "Access your data for all websites"? It's explained that "The extension can read the content of any web page you visit as well as data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords. " I don't this is needed for functioning of the add-on, can you explain please?

That's due to "matches" being set to "all_urls". That's required for this add-on to work on all sites.
