👋 Hello! I use Monarch Money.

I found opportunities to enhance the Monarch Money web application with more functionality and configuration options.

With this extension, it will add four new reporting functions to Monarch Money (Trends, Net Income, Accounts and Investments) as well as other enhancements.

Reports / Trends:

𖥔 Summarize your income and spending history.
𖥔 Compare with last month, the same month last year, or the same quarter last year.
𖥔 Display by this year, last year, last 12 months, all years, and all years YTD with monthly averages.
𖥔 Filter by a custom account group (e.g., "Parents, Children").
𖥔 Highlight over-spending based on thresholds: 25%, 50%, 100%.
𖥔 Drill down to view monthly and year-to-date totals to identify trends in your groups and categories.
𖥔 Sort historical data by any column.
𖥔 Breakdown expenses by "Fixed Expenses" and "Flexible Expenses."
𖥔 Export to Excel or Numbers.
𖥔 Customize comparisons and averages, whether to include the current month if desired.

Reports / Net Income:

𖥔 Summarize your income and spending history by tags, notes, and goals.
𖥔 Compare to untagged or multiply tagged transactions.
𖥔 Filter by a custom account group (e.g., "Parents, Children").
𖥔 Sort summarized data by any column.
𖥔 Breakdown tagged expenses by "Fixed Expenses" and "Flexible Expenses."
𖥔 Export to Excel or Numbers.
𖥔 Choose to include or exclude hidden tagged transactions.
𖥔 Group transactions with note tags (e.g., " Hawaii 2025" or " Wedding").
𖥔 Group transactions by goals.
𖥔 Click on the date header to change the date range.

𖥔 Compare across different time periods.
𖥔 Display data over any date range or show monthly, quarterly, and yearly balances.
𖥔 Display income, expenses, and transfers at the account level.
𖥔 Filter by a custom account group (e.g. "Partner 1, Partner 2, Both")
𖥔 Sort data by any column.
𖥔 Export to Excel or Numbers.
𖥔 Generate a simple personal net worth report for loan applications.
𖥔 Click on the date header to change the date range.

𖥔 Summarize your investment holdings.
𖥔 Show positions and performance.
𖥔 Show gain/loss, cost basis, stock price, and more.
𖥔 Sort holdings data by any column.
𖥔 Export to Excel or Numbers.

Other Monarch Money Tweaks and Enhancements:

𖥔 Make assigning merchants easier by auto-populating the Search Merchant field with a smart assistant (removes AplPay, GglPay, *TST, etc. when assigning merchants).
𖥔 Breakdown account summary by custom group (e.g., "Taxable, Tax Deferred" ).
𖥔 Apply a compressed font in the transactions grid to display more items.
𖥔 Apply a compressed and smaller font in the budget grid to show additional items.
𖥔 Display "Left for Spending" (checking minus credit cards minus pending) in the budget summary and dashboard.
𖥔 Enable or disable (hide) specific menu items as needed.
𖥔 Remove the "Difference Amount" tooltip from graphs in reports for a cleaner view.
𖥔 Hide the create rule popup when adding or changing transactions to streamline the process.
𖥔 Easily split a transaction 50/50 with auto-filled amounts for quick adjustments.
𖥔 Correct the calendar year dropdown to display only years with available data (instead of starting from 2000).
𖥔 Hide the accounts net worth graph panel for a simplified view.
𖥔 Highlight pending transactions when the "Allow Edits to Pending Transactions" setting is set to "Off."
𖥔 Save and restore Monarch Money tweak settings (use across browsers).

ℹ️ Go to [Settings / Display] in Monarch Money after installing the extension to turn on/off all the tweak settings.
