We collect and process the following data through our browser extension:

- **OpenAI API Key** (voluntarily provided):
- Used exclusively for OpenAI API authentication
- Stored locally in browser storage

- **User Preferences**:
- Voice selection (alloy, echo, etc.)
- Extension enabled/disabled state
- Stored locally in browser storage

- **Page Content**:
- Selected text content for processing
- Never stored or transmitted to our servers

## 2. Data Sharing

- **OpenAI API**:
- Selected text and chat messages are transmitted to OpenAI
- Governed by OpenAI's privacy policy: https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy

## 3. Data Storage

All user data is stored locally in your browser using:
- `chrome.storage.local` for settings
- Session-only storage for chat context

## 4. Security

We implement:
- HTTPS encryption for all API communications
- Local storage encryption via browser security mechanisms
- Regular security reviews of our codebase

## 5. Your Rights

You can:
1. Access/delete settings via browser extension storage
2. Revoke API keys through OpenAI's dashboard
3. Disable data processing by turning off the extension
