Smart Highlighter lets you quickly spot the words that matter to you on any webpage. Save your list of keywords once in the Options page, then press the toolbar button to highlight them with a subtle, readable style. It works with most sites without slowing down the page or changing layouts.

The extension stores your keyword list locally using the standard WebExtensions storage API. When you click the toolbar button, it injects a small content script into the active tab to find and mark matches using safe DOM operations. There is no tracking, no remote code, and no network requests. You stay in control of what is highlighted and when it runs.

Use it to scan long articles for project terms, find tasks like “deadline” or “invoice,” or keep an eye out for names and topics you follow. Toggle anytime from the toolbar.
