WebExplode is designed by security professionals for security professionals, with a strict and uncompromising focus on user privacy.

Data Collection & Analytics: This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, browsing history, keystrokes, or search queries. There is zero telemetry or tracking code included in this software.

Data Storage: User preferences, custom payloads, and scanned tab data are stored purely locally on your device using unencrypted standard browser storage (chrome.storage.local and sessionStorage). This data never leaves your machine and is not shared with the developer or any third parties.

Third-Party Requests: The extension operates 99% offline. Network requests are only made when explicitly triggered by the user in the following two scenarios:

Spy Module: Making a request to the public Cloudflare DoH (DNS over HTTPS) API (https://cloudflare-dns.com) to perform DNS lookups.

Hound Module: Fetching external .js files loaded on the current active tab (via the Fetch API) to scan them for exposed secrets.

All processed DOM and HTTP header data are cleared from memory as soon as the tab is closed or the extension is restarted.
