Does what I wanted ! Nice settings. Little hiccups sometimes, but certainly because I have several other Youtube related extensions. Not a big deal anyway. ( Damn Youtube being so badly design I need ten addons to make it bearable. )

Would be nice if it didn’t block looped videos though. Or if I could put the addon in a shortcut to disable it on the fly.

Needs to be updated. Assuming you use uBlock Origin to remove the ads before the video, or find a video with no ads, the addon will stop the video but you can see in the timeline it didn't stop some buffering from happening. Doesn't matter what options you select some buffering will happen. Please fix

Working perfect so far, even in combination with other extensions (adblock and force theatre mode).

Does as described, preventing YT videos from auto buffering/playing when opened, great for when I open a bunch in new tabs and don't want them to all play or react to my media keys.

EDIT: One feature I'd love to see is the ability to start playing using the Play/Pause media key. Currently, only clicking the video will allow it to play, as Play/Pause will briefly start the video before the extension pauses it again.

with only 8 geg of ram video tries to play while page is still loading by stopping the video from playing the page loads faster than I click play and the video plays smooth this app helps a lot

When the YouTube URL contains a starting time, this extension forces a reload of the page to ignore the starting time.

It's wonderful, but there is a few small bugs:

1) It starts playing some hidden video on channel pages and some video listings (can not be stopped)
2) It does not work with clips (prevents playback)
3) It does not work with videos that have content warning (prevents playback), an example video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vz06QO3UkQ

It blocks the display of any information (submitter, channel, comments, and suggested videos) from some vids. In these cases, controls, such as maximize, are disabled.
