Does what it says. Like a lot of these volume plugins, I think it is guilty of lowering the starting "100%" volume , exaggerating its effect.
But it least it works when I need it to, on quiet streaming sites and such.

Only works on some sites, on others it either has no effect or Linux firefox 143.0 (snap) resets the video page on any attempt to change the volume, resetting to a max of 100%. Slightly better than other addons which completely fail. update: retested and causes "A network error caused the media download to fail part-way." on scrub-scrolling the video.
