    It blocked most ads, but it also caused Firefox to crash too often. Out of frustration I finally uninstalled and Firefox works fine now. I'll just live with the ads and ignore them. At least that way I can read the rest of the page.

    This add on follows "fair advertisement policy". DO not use it. Use UBlock Origin which is truly open and free.

    There seems to be some misunderstandings about our Acceptable Ads Initiative. Users are still in control, and can disable “allow acceptable ads” in options. If you still experience ads with this option disabled, please be advised that these are more than likely NOT Acceptable Ads. In these cases please send us the URL along with a screenshot of your subscribed filter lists to support@adblockplus.org. We are usually able to get these reported to the filter list team and resolved. I hope this clarifies. Feel free to reach out if there are any questions.

    Please be advised that users are still in control, and can disable “allow acceptable ads” in options. If you still experience ads with this option disabled, these are more than likely NOT Acceptable Ads. In these cases please send us the URL along with a screenshot of your subscribed filter lists to support@adblockplus.org. We are usually able to get these reported to the filter list team and resolved. Rest assured no company can pay us to have their ads shown. Publishers have to meet the criteria set by the Acceptable Ads Committee before being considered. Most companies actually pay us nothing at all.     Thanks for reaching out to us! Seeing ads is certainly not expected behavior. Can you send us some example URLs where ads are produced along with your subscribed filter lists? The list of blocked and blockable ABP items are in developer tools. 

    How to get there:
    Hit F12 and click on the "Adblock Plus" tab

    or

    Go to Menu > Developer Tools > Web Console and then click on "Adblock Plus" tab.

    Causes Firefox to hemorrhage RAM and render pages extremely slowly. Inferior in every way to uBlock Origin.

    It used to work perfectly fine previously but after the recent firefox update it doesn't work anymore and I don't know why. I tried all the settings but it's not helping me. I'll share a print grab if you want. and it's really annoying to see those profane ads.

    Slows down Firefox too much, including an initial startup delay of around 2 seconds. Gone back to Ublock Origin as it is MUCH faster.

    Very inefficient. Skips a lot of advertising even with all the settings. In search of the best blocker, I settled on uBlock Origin.
