- it'd be cool if you could have an option to just highlight the curse words because what if i'm just trying to quickly check if a song has the curse words or not before adding it to the radio or DJ rotation? i'm just looking to know if i should tag a song as explicit or as all ages. i dont care about censoring words. i actually want them to pop out and i need to see what the word is so i can gauge how mature the song is.

发布于 19 天前I'm sorry that the add-on didn't meet your use-case. I'd like to share a couple possible workarounds though. Instead of highlighting the "filtered" words, you can change the filter mode to "Off" (disabled/summary only). Then, open the page to the lyrics for a song, and click on the add-on's icon to bring up the popup menu which will list what words (and how many) were found. That will leave the page unchanged, but will still give you a summary of what was found.
Alternatively, you could try switching to the censor mode, choose to keep the first and last characters of filtered words, and then change the censor character to one of the colored blocks.
If neither of those work for you, I'd also be happy to discuss adding a feature that could help you if you are interested. Unfortunately directly highlighting text can get tricky with how many different variations between websites there are, but its something I could look into more and see what could be done. - 评分 5 / 5来自 Dark Blue Om， 5 个月前God bless the developer(s) of this add-on. 🙏🏼 Its customizable and works great.

- if you did this for images too blocking any bad images even on facebook, you would have made the ultimate free profanity blocker on the net!
if you do. keep it free! and bankrupt the greedy porn blocker companies to the ground.

Not even loading tbh (not even the /optionPage.html#/ page and such is loading)
i'm currently on firefox 128.0.3 but was already not working on the 128.0 earlier version

- Advanced Profanity Filter is an answer to an 'unrequested' prayer because I could never fathom that one day I'll be able to enjoy movies without hearing the language.
The filter is a delight and for the times when audio is muted for a long time, it doesn't bother me because I can read from the subtitles.

发布于 2 年前Thanks for your review @Oonix. Unfortunately at this time there isn't really a way to shorten mute times because the filter doesn't have access to precise enough timing information. Most of the time it only knows when the captions get added to the screen, not how long they'll be there, or when each word is said. I will be working on adding an algorithm to try and reduce muting time (with a possible decrease in muting effectiveness) in situations where the filter does have start and end times for a phrase, but I'm hoping it will be about 50% shorter on the mute times in a phrase.- 评分 5 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18164399， 2 年前
