Just don't use "AFAB trans woman", as it forces trans women to use "AMAB" or "male", aligning your goal with that of TERFs. - 评分 1 / 5来自 molybdenum,1 个月前

It's using trans language to promote anti-trans values. - 评分 1 / 5来自 soupsnspoons,1 个月前used to target actually transphobic people + sites, now just targets anyone who doesnt agree with the creators :< if youre considering installing this anyway, please please please look at what they consider to be a qualifier for red vs green marking first, esp intersex + transmasc people. you can check their guidelines by going to the user page (click the "shinigami eyes" link right under addon title), click "homepage", scroll down to "shinigami eyes website", then to the section labeled "how to label".

However, infighting that leads to false flagging of transmasc and intersex people for merely talking about their experiences and the uniquely awful transphobia they face is inexcusable. Moderation seriously needs a major overhaul for the sake of the entire trans community. To exclude these voices is what leads to in-fighting and our community to become much more divided, something we absolutely cannot risk having right now more than ever.
But hey, this extension can tell you that the (un)funny white cishet youtube man who may have coughed out a "trans rights" once for the meme is a totally great and reliable trans ally alongside actual advocates working around the clock to fight for trans rights for everyone. So it has it's value there I *guess*. - 评分 1 / 5来自 tripleboy,1 个月前
- 评分 1 / 5来自 enbyraccoon,1 个月前I used to use this a lot, but now that it marks users negatively based on the personal views of the creators, rather than truthfully whether someone is actually known to be transphobic, means I cannot trust it anymore, so I unfortunately have to mark it poorly.
- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 17580409,1 个月前This extension has the capacity to be misused to silence intersex people and its TOS considers bigotry against nonbinary & transmasc people to be permissible and not enough evidence to mark a person as anti-trans.
- 评分 1 / 5来自 okzoomies,1 个月前This extension was once a very good tool to tell if someone was trans-safe at a glance. Now I'm immensely disappointed with the way it's being handled. Folks who discuss the aggression and oppression that trans men and intersex people experience unique to trans women are not transphobic and now the tool only pushes for community separatism, instead of community solidarity. Moderation needs to be overhauled severely.
- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 18700720,1 个月前What was once a useful extension has become a tool for transphobic bullying and is now useless for identifying actual transphobes OR people genuinely supportive and inclusive of all trans people.
People are marked red for talking about transphobia towards trans men, mascs and transneutrals (INCLUDING trans women speaking up in support) and for petty discourse reasons, yet people can stay marked green while spewing vile transphobia and intersexism as long as it's not about trans women the moderators agree with.
This gives people false impressions of not only potential transphobes, cutting off people who are genuinely supportive and inclusive, but have been marked red either by mass reports or for petty reasons or ARE trans but have an identity that the creators believe is innately transphobic for intersexist reasons, but also fools people into thinking that others are safe and exposing them to vitriolic transphobia towards transmascs, transneutrals and disagreeing transfems, and exclusionary rhetoric that only serves to promote separatism.
Extension might as well be rebranded as a TW(only)IRF identifying extension (that's fine with people using transphobic slang from 4chan as long as it isn't about trans women) since that's basically what it's become. - 评分 1 / 5来自 lemonzest3333,1 个月前
- 评分 1 / 5来自 remidepointedulac,1 个月前with the new guidlines of what is considered transphobic or not this extension has become functionally useless for social media so i've stopped using it. not to mention that even before the change of guidelines people were marked green for no reason. my main tumblr account is marked green and i dont even talk abt trans topics on there, all ive done is reblog gofundmes of trans women a couple times which shouldnt be enough to mark someone as green.
the extension works well for news websites though. - 评分 2 / 5来自 IOC,1 个月前Recent infighting has made this extension far less reliable. Trans people mark other trans people red for petty reasons constantly. It's really frustrating to have to gamble on if a red name is gonna have literal hate speech when you double check or if they just got into a fight with the wrong person.
I still think it's worth using, but you can't take any highlights at face value. You have to verify for yourself (which means you have to expose yourself to transphobia a whole lot). Better than nothing, but I really wish it wasn't treated like it's infallible. It's not. - 评分 2 / 5来自 redrum,1 个月前Used to be good but now people are using this extension for completely stupid reasons such as marking other trans people and intersex people as 'anti-trans' for the crime of- *checks notes* talking about their own experiences?
I won't stop using this extension as it can be useful- but I may take that back if stuff like this continues. - 评分 1 / 5来自 a_dislayed_name,1 个月前I used to love this extension, unfortunately the developer(s) are now radfems and it has become basically useless and sometimes even actively harmful if you aren't one.
If you want to see proof of this, just look at the guidelines on this extensions homepage. "Theyfab", an anti-trans slur directed at afab nonbinary folks and even trans men (which is also notably misgendering) doesn't count as transphobic, but "AFAB trans woman" an identity most commonly held by intersex women apparently DOES count.
Why they are so against intersex, transmasculine, and nonbinary people is beyond me, but maybe that's because I don't participate in chronically online infighting and actually listen to trans and intersex people when they talk about their own oppression rather speaking over others in community trying to talk about theirs.
Edit: Also I looked through some other reviews and if you scroll far enough the developer has said some absolutely vile, disgusting radfem shit, including:
-Saying intersex trans woman are aligned with TERFs and appropriating trans women (read: appropriating 'real' women)
-Saying "binary trans woman" is disparaging against trans women who transition (read: transitioning == binary, and not transitioning == not a real woman)
-Replying to a review mentioning that trans men talking about their own issues have been falsely flagged red with 'promoting anti-trans values will get you flagged', (read: if you're a trans man stfu or else you're a terf)
So there's more proof the dev just blatantly fucking hates intersex people, nonbinaries, and trans men. While we're at it given the amount of trans bipoc I've seen falsely flagged it's also become a tool for white supremacy (though that's pretty much standard for radical feminists). All the more reason I have gladly uninstalled this thing. Hope there's a trans-friendly fork! - 评分 1 / 5来自 misc,1 个月前Honestly, I don't think I'll stop using this addon anytime soon, it's too useful. I can't really always be on the lookout for transphobia, I'm not going to stalk through everyone's twitter to know what they think about trans people, so this extension has been valuable for that reason. It's good to know who to *investigate* ... aaand that's my problem with the extension. It's only good for showing that the user marked red is very *likely* outwardly transphobic. It's not a guarantee.
I've seen transmisogynists be marked green. As in, radical feminists who dehumanize and misgender trans women, actual fascists, the like. On top of that, I'm seeing people who wouldn't misgender me or push for transphobia get marked red (intersex people, for one?) + users who have harassed trans women be marked green. I am legitimately wary of those who are marked green due to this, and have to investigate them on top of those marked red.
So if you use this extension, keep this in mind. Someone who's marked red might be trans-friendly, someone who's marked green might not be. Look for any dogwhistles on their page, as those are more telling than just being marked red. - 评分 1 / 5来自 Luminol,1 个月前I used to love using Shinigami Eyes as it was incredibly helpful, but it's turned into infighting slop lately and shows no signs of getting better. People simply speaking on their experiences or supporting all transgender people are being marked as transphobic while actual transphobia is getting pushed aside as just fine, actually. It's sad, honestly. Trans men and Intersex people are especially being hit hard—Something that brings me great concern for my transgender siblings.

- 评分 1 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 17586921,1 个月前used to be great but now it just marks anyone talking about intersexism and transphobia directed at transmasc people or non binary people as transphobic, completely defeating its purpose :/
- 评分 3 / 5来自 Rexxie,1 个月前unfortunately cannot trust this extension to actually point out transphobes and terfs as it now also marks intersex and certain trans men who speak about their experience as transphobic.
- 评分 1 / 5来自 ChicagoTwix,1 个月前Used to be good, but the mods support intersexism and transmisandry, supporting marking those talking about these issues as red. Their guidelines are also specifically okay with ace-phobia and racism. Borderline useless extension now.

- 评分 1 / 5来自 Bird,1 个月前Brigading has always been a problem with user-generated report systems, but this one was supposed to be better because of human validation of the input. The number of pro-trans sources marked as anti-trans for spurious reasons would show their "trustworthiness criteria" isn't the protective measure it's made out to be anymore.
ETA: Seems it is largely because it is abandoned. I can understand why the upkeep of such an extension would be taxing and hard to continue. It's just worth knowing this is not what it used to be, the brigades have taken over.
