Please try to disable other extensions. Websites you've mentioned work correct (but both work better with Simplified mode). The problem should be with some extension that adds transparent or hidden overlays and Midnight Lizard accidentally changes their color. Most likely it might be extensions with similar functionality with Midnight Lizard.
