Could you include some details? I just tried going to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ&si=random_tracking_value and it works as intended (ie. it removes si= tracking parameter).
It's entirely functional, no clue what the other guy was talking about. Tested this with normal, shorts and live videos on both the youtube.com and youtu.be domains.
