Markdown Clipboard turns rich text into Markdown without a round-trip through a web app.

Convert the clipboard (toolbar icon): copy formatted text from anywhere — a chat app, a docs editor, a web page — then click the toolbar icon. The extension reads the HTML flavor of your clipboard, converts it to Markdown, and writes the Markdown back as the plain-text flavor while preserving the original HTML flavor, so pasting into rich-text targets still works. A small icon animation confirms success (green check), tells you there was no HTML to convert (amber dash), or reports an error (red cross).

Copy as Markdown (right-click): right-click a link, image, or selection to copy it as Markdown. Supports GitHub-flavored tables, task lists, strikethrough, fenced code blocks with language detection, and MathML → LaTeX.

Optional keyboard shortcuts: both actions are available as commands but ship without default key bindings (so nothing clobbers your existing shortcuts). Assign your own under Manage Extension Shortcuts if you want them.
