Kindle Context Clipper 的隱私權保護政策
Kindle Context Clipper is a browser extension that helps you export highlighted passages and their surrounding context from Kindle Cloud Reader. We designed the extension so your reading data stays on your device.
Data Collection and Use
- No account or personal data. The extension does not request, collect, store, or transmit personal information.
- Highlight processing happens locally. OCR (optical character recognition) and sentence assembly run entirely within your browser on the currently open Kindle Cloud Reader tab.
- No analytics or tracking. We do not include analytics libraries or track your browsing activity.
Host Permissions
The extension requires access to
https://read.amazon.com/*
to read the Kindle Cloud Reader DOM and capture highlight boxes and page images. This access is only used to fulfill the extension’s single purpose and never for any other site.Remote Resources
The OCR engine (Tesseract.js) loads its worker script, WASM core, and language data from the official CDN so that text recognition can take place. These resources run locally in your browser. Highlight data, page images, and any other reading content are never sent to external services by the extension.
Third Parties
The extension does not share data with third parties. Kindle Cloud Reader remains subject to Amazon’s privacy policy.
Data Retention
Extracted results are stored only in your browser’s memory while the panel is open. When you download a CSV, it is generated locally and saved to your computer. Closing the panel or refreshing the page clears the in-memory results.
Children’s Privacy
The extension is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information.
Changes to This Policy
