It used to work alright, but not as fast as the chrome one. Now not only is it not working (hides Youtube comments without showing anything) but uses an inexplicable amount of cpu power and memory. I have now opened 2 Youtube tabs and 2 other tabs. Firefox is using all that is available of my cpu and 2.5-3 GB of RAM.

Sorry for your frustration. I haven't received the latest YouTube update yet, so I was not aware of these issues until they were reported to Github. I will work to reproduce and fix these problems ASAP.
