來自 RogueKitsune,8 年前Like other I am switching over from Quicksaver's Tab Groups, so there will be plenty of comparisons to it.
The Good...
Pretty much everything UI related is better compared to Tab Groups. I like being able to set an image or colour to group. The menus and such also seem much more responsive.
The Ok...
I like that there are keyboard shortcuts but I would really like to be able to change the keybinding back to "ctrl + `" and "ctrl + shift + `"
The Bad...
Migrating from Quicksaver's Tab Groups to Simple Tab Groups was a bit rough. First I made sure to "back up" my tab groups by bookmarking them in folder named after their group. Then I installed Simple Tab Groups and disabled Tab Groups. After restarting only a few of my tabs showed up in a group even though the group had a tab count 563. So I restarted Firefox again. This time all my tabs showed up but I now had two groups with each with a copy of all my tabs. Repeating opening and closing Firefox continued the duplication of the group even after I started moving tabs into groups. To fix this I had to close all open tabs and restart. After that everything started working fine.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this addon doesn't really like the about:* pages. Opening, for example about:config, does not bind it to a specific group instead it acts more like a pinned tab. In addition about:newtab does not load correctly when coming back to it (search bar, top sites, etc. don't show up)
The Ugly...
I know nothing can be done about it at this time but I still have to complain about it. I hate how this addon switches between groups. Essentially all the "current" tabs are closed and then new tabs are opened with the URLs from the other group.
TLDR
Good addon, but has some areas that need improvement
Disclaimer:
I only run nightly builds of Firefox, so there is a chance the issues I saw were caused by some change/defect in Firefox.

張貼於 8 年前Please update add-on to latest version (v2.2)
In this version I fix duplicate groups/tabs.
About "about:config" and etc.: this is not supported bu Firefox WebExtentions API
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/tabs/create
For security reasons, in Firefox, this may not be a privileged URL. So passing any of the following URLs will fail:
chrome: URLs
javascript: URLs
data: URLs
file: URLs (i.e., files on the filesystem. However, to use a file packaged inside the extension, see below)
privileged about: URLs (for example, about:config, about:addons, about:debugging). Non-privileged URLs (e.g., about:blank) are allowed.
The New Tab page (about:newtab) can be opened if no value for URL is provided.
Version 2.1 and above has option to fast group switching (in options page)
Thanks for your feedback!

I end up trying several backups before one finally loads my tabs, and of course they're not the exact ones I want.

- This is by far the best tab grouping app available. It offers unmatched flexibility and customization compared to anything else on the market. Unfortunately, it’s been broken for months. Even when I manage to get it working temporarily, it often loses my saved groups or fails to restore them properly. The restore feature is inconsistent at best.
It seems Firefox updates may have caused compatibility issues, which is understandable, but I wish the developer had continued maintaining it. This app is leagues ahead of Firefox’s recent native tab grouping, which feels limited and clunky by comparison.
I’m holding off on uninstalling it because I still hope for a fix. The moment it’s stable again, I’ll gladly update my rating to 5 stars. - 評價 4 分,滿分 5 分來自 Firefox 使用者 16291059,24 天前Almost everything I could possibly want, and it almost brings Firefox up to parity with OperaGX's workspaces (though it surpasses it in others). Almost.
Pinned tabs and Firefox's native tab groups tend to 'leak' (for lack of a better term) through the groups in this extension. - I was loving this, until I lost all groups when coming back to work today, all was fine Friday... I'll try redoing them, and after looking in options I saw there are backup/restore options, I hope it works, else I'll have to fine something else.
Edit: finally I saw there are automatic backups and was able to restore last one, give 4 stars, not 5 that would have been if I did not lost all groups in the first time.
Edit again: I should have looked better, yes all my groups have been restored, counters of tabs seems good, but there are missing tabs, when I change group it just jumps to a tab keeping others (from other groups) open, and do other weird stuff... And now its even worse that before I restored... Too sad... - 評價 3 分,滿分 5 分來自 Firefox 使用者 10019882,2 個月前Basic functions work: in management mode, drag & drop one tab list item to another group; switch to group. The biggest problem is memory usage after long time usage of Firefox v 143 on a Mac Tahoe (not sure of other OS). The memory usage jumped from around 1GB to 7GB after upgrading MacOS to Tahoe version. In the background, must be keeping other OLD tabs in groups already closed but still open (not sure contents of pages already loaded). When I disabled this extension, suddenly more than 20 tabs popped out when total opened tab in all groups were about 7. Plus, Firefox now has implemented tab grouping feature same as Chrome: to collapse tabs into 1 group tab.

- i keep having issues with previous session not opening, and normally i can just click "restore previous session" and it returns all the tabs to the correct groups but i had a guy clean my pc today and he didn't restore session before closing and reopening again (which makes the option dissapear). which left me with "reopen all tabs" in recently closed, and not only did it not restore them all, they were not in groups after restoring. well, the extension only made the experience slightly worse but i needed somewhere to vent i guess lol. becareful out there if you cherish your tabs
