    Love the extension!
    Feature request: Please add an option to unload all tabs hidden since firefox now can unload tabs.

    Edit- Wow that was so fast! Thank you so much!! Its perfect for my use case.

    Edit 2- Feature request: If possible please add a separate shortcut key which only unloads tab. That way hiding tabs and unloads tabs can be controlled with different shortcuts (maybe even 3 shortcuts total where 1- only hides tabs 2- only unloads tabs and 3- hides and unloads tabs) and an option to hide context menu.

    Edit 3- You are amazing! Thank you for creating this awesome extension!!
    One last suggestion - Please make the extension enable this setting in about:config
    browser.tabs.fadeOutUnloadedTabs to true
    It will help other users know when a tab is unloaded.

    Yep, I've seen it. Looks like there is some kind of bug in FF or they haven't implemented the same effect when unloading via APIs. Unfortunately Mozilla doesn't allow about:config overrides, so I'll add your suggestion to the description page and I'll try to get hold of FF devs.

    New option added – you can now choose to automatically unload hidden tabs.
    This is off by default. You can enable it in the extension’s Preferences page (right click on the extension icon -> Manage Extension-> Preferences tab).

    Unloading hidden tabs will free up memory, but keep in mind:
    * Tabs will reload when you switch back to them.
    * Any unsaved work in those tabs may be lost.
    * Audio or running processes in hidden tabs will stop.

    Use it only if you want to save memory and are okay with these limits.

    I like this idea! Firefox automatically unloads inactive tabs when memory is low, but we could force this behavior for all hidden tabs. I'll perform a couple of tests to see if unloading will impact the restoration speed by a lot and based on this make this either flagged by default or not on the options page.

    Really hides tabs with closing them, but hides absolutely all tabs, you can't choose what tabs to hide

    Version 2.4 implements a new feature - you can now Right Click on any tab and choose which tabs to hide!

    I do not know if this it's possible with Firefox itself, but it would be awesome if I can just quickly hide just one tab.

    Hey, dev, I want to report a bug, let's suppose that when I hide my tabs, a new Google tab opens, I have a problem where when I do that and I come back to my tabs, the Google tab duplicate it self in my hidden tabs and in my "secondary" tabs.

    Exactly what I was looking for! Again, would love it if I could hide all tabs except my current active tab.

    Feature Request implemented! Right Click on any tab and you will see an option called "Hide other tabs except this one" under "Hide tabs"!

    Awesome extension! The only one presented that doesn't close the hidden tabs, namely, hides them, so when you exit the "hidden" mode, tabs aren't loaded again, which is very convenient if you are surfing under a slow proxy and each page load takes a long time. In "hidden" mode, the tab may continue to load.
    The only thing missing for happiness is a hotkey. And if there is an opportunity to configure the hotkey as you wish, for example, to scroll (SMB) double-click or to simultaneously click LMB and RMB - there would be aabsolutely amazing! And to open in the "hidden" mode the "necessary" tab instead of an empty one - I don’t dare to dream about this!

Единственное из представленных, которое не закрывает скрываемые вкладки, а именно скрывает, поэтому при выходе из "скрытого" режима они не загружаются снова, что очень удобно, если сидишь под медленным прокси и каждая загрузка страницы занимает продолжительное время. В "скрытом" режиме вкладка может продолжать загружаться.
    Единственное, чего не хватает для счастья - это хоткея. А уж если будет возможность настроить хоткей по своему желанию, например на двойной клик ролика или на одновременный клик LMB и RMB - был бы вообще космос! А уж открывать в "скрытом" режиме "нужную" вкладку вместо пустой - это вообще космос!

    Thanks for the review!

    You can manage ANY extension shortcuts by following these simple steps:
    1) RMB on the extension button -> LMB on "Manage Extension".
    2) LMB on the gear icon in the right upper corner and LMB on the last option "Manage extension shortcuts".

    I like your idea of including an option to add a specific "user selected" tab, I will find a bit of free time to implement it!

    Hi @zickey, by your request I've updated the extension and added options page where you can setup a custom url to open instead of an empty new tab.

    Hides the tabs in the top tab bar (doesn't hide pinned tabs), opens a temporary new tab. FF displays a message that tabs have been hidden (have to click anywhere again to hide that). Shows the number of hidden tabs on the icon. Restores in the correct order, removes the temporary new tab.
    Doesn't hide the top tab BAR which is what I am looking for - FEATURE REQUEST ("support" page had nothing about this addon)
    Doesn't hide sidebar tabs which is good.
    Dev-you will get more stars if you say all this on your addon description so users don't waste their time finding your addon does not do what they want. :(

    Could you please clarify which is the top bar you'd like to hide: the Title bar or the bar with the tabs?

    I'm afraid it's not possible to hide the tab toolbar with the current Extension API provided by Mozilla. BUT! You can edit manually userChrome.css file and customize Firefox UI.
