It is a real pitty that you do not seem to want to listen to the incredible ammount of people who are trying to tell you that you messed this up.
If 90% of the people dont understand the new UI, its not the people, its the UI. For example the list is too large, and without an explaination you cant tell the status of an entry. And if -by accident- you manage to click what was "allow" before you have no idea if its temparily allowed or permanently.
I gave this addon another try today and now I get at least one XSS warning popup every 30 seconds. I mean popups? Really? Reminds me of the old personal firewall days, when you got so much warningsall the time, that after a while you just allwed everything just to be left in peace. Popups are a bad, bad, bad idea.
Please recreate the old look and feel and behaviour!
And I get from your comments that you cant do that exactly, but I dont see a reason why one could not try to recreate that as close as possible. Even if it does not look fancy and colorful like now. Because belive it or not, that is obviously not what people care about.

*This* is as close as possible a WebExtension can go, and I've done and I'm doing my best to compensate the unavoidable loss in usability (due to the fact WebExtensions UI are just HTML web pages) with more customizability, and at the same time to provide feature parity security-wise. If people want the old version as it was, with the floating hovering menu and the "Allow / Temporarily allow / Forbid" commands (which, BTW, functionally map one-by-one with the new TRUSTED/UNTRUSTED paradigm), they can use Firefox 52 ESR or the Tor Browser as long as they're supported: on Firefox 57 this stuff is just out of reach for add-ons.

Unfortunately I cannot do the impossible (recreating legacy NoScript on the new, much more limiting WebExtension platform) just because "people" ask for the impossible. And I've the duty to provide the best security NoScript can provide to people which actually rely on it, even for their physical safety (and no, uMatrix / uBlock / ScriptSafe & C. are not up to the task, simply because they've got a completely different scope).

    С тих пір, як я почав користуватися цим застосунком кілька років тому, я взагалі не розумію, як я раніше шарився по інтернетах без нього. Більш потужного, гнучкого і надійного інструмента, щоб налаштувати перегляд під себе, я ще не зустрічав. Він вимагає деякого розуміння, що саме показувати, а що саме приховувати, тому plug-and-play для нього не працює - він якраз і потрібен для тонкого налаштування, щоб при відвідуванні рекламних помийок, сумнівних і дуже сумнівних сайтів заблокувати майже все, а потім давати дозволи на відкриття того, що вам потрібно. Тому різниця в перегляді того ж Ютуба через застосунок на смартфоні і через комп в бравзері просто як дві паралельні реальності.
    Величезна дяка розробникам за цей чудовий застосунок! o/

    I remember the beginnings of this extension, the year was 2005, it was a long time ago, since then you have done a lot of work until such a form of the extension was created.
    Please, now a problem has arisen, the latest versions of the extension cause problems with loading the youtube page, the page freezes.
    I downgraded from version 13.6.28 of the extension to version 13.6.25
    Released June 22, 2026, which runs without problems
    versions 13.6.28, 13.6.27, 13.6.26 are problematic
    I use FF 128.14.0 ESR

    Using it for 5+ years, awesome tool to stop trackers and even certain ads, a must have for me!

    The last update broke Youtube with NoScript though: Any video will slow down the entire Firefox tab until it's completely unresponsive and Firefox asks to shut it down due to performance issues.
    I did a roll-back to an older Firefox, disabled all my extensions 1-by-1 until Youtube worked again: Without NoScript sadly.

    Fantastic for keeping data-scraping scripts away from my personal info or history.
    However, as of June 1st, the add-on will only update the script list once per refresh hit, and I have to click off the icon in order to process more scripts to get a certain page "unbroken".
    Very annoying, hence why this is only a 4-star (even barely! I give this add-on a 3.5 in reality) review.

    Fix this issue, and the rest of the problems I encounter will again be someone else's problem.

    Stops unknown scripts from running until your approval. But a lot of websites will break without third-party scripts, and for now you simply must guess your own until it works. Interface cuts off long domain-names.

    Had to disable the extension because it prevented me to watch pictures on pages.
