This extension works as stated, with the only caveat being that it disables copying on Google Docs. I recommend it, but only for the moment you need to enable selection; it should be disabled afterwards.

While this extension is useful for its purpose, it seems to unintentionally disable custom JavaScript context menus in webpages (the regular browser context menu appears instead). Some places this happens include YouTube videos, Google Docs, and Google Drive. I would appreciate it if this was fixed. Thanks!
