The overuse of AI is getting tiring. I dont want an "enhanced experience designed to make my writing sound more professional, eloquent and solid", I want a spellcheck that works on several languages, the list of which I can choose from and customize. It was perfect before, there was no reason to change it

Noooo!!! This was one of my top 3 extensions that I always choose when I reinstall everything. And now it's pay only? Please no!

It was good, but I often had issues with the extension. It was full of bugs. Recently, after accepting changes, it stopped replacing the original text correctly and would basically concatenate the old text with the corrected version.

Now they want to start charging for usage, which is fine— I get it. But at least make the product reliable before asking people to pay for it.

I know that open source don't means free/gratis. But I dislike the way this product become less acurate in the time and how marketing justify why browser plugin will be a premium functionnality. As a teacher, I was advising my students to use it... now, I'll advise them to use Grammalecte.

It was okay, I only chose this over others as it was the least annoying. Not amazing, I never engaged much with the AI side (as in using it to fully refine things) but it got context better than others did when suggesting fixes, so there's 2 stars. But no, I'm not going to pay for it because it has AI rewrite features, because I don't use those, just grammar and spelling fixes.

It's unfortunate they have to make it premium only because not enough people are paying for it, but maybe that's because it's not *amazing*, just cheaper than Grammarly.

I think another reviewer put it perfectly; LT saves you the time it takes to open up an LLM and paste your text in. And now that on firefox you can have most LLMs just pop up in the sidebar, it really doesn't take that long.

It was a brilliant add-on while it lasted, but I cannot justify paying for another subscription at the moment. It does feel like it came without warning!

It was fun while it lasted but in a world where everything demands subscriptions, this addon is not worth adding to the pool of fastly growing expenses. Be realistic

I think I lost some written text because of this extension - the text was there, but after submitting it in Teams, half of it was gone.
In jira comments it messed up words if I tried to correct them.

This extension doesn't even work most of the time!

Isn't offering any correct sugestions for typos. I can see what the correct spelling is if there's the right one offered, it's just that my fingers refuse to type some words corectly. Lol! Most spell checks are able to correct things like waz (Was) and such so please contine to improve theis (this) spellchecker. If this helps; I tend to bounce off of the wrong key at times usually close to the one I'm trying to hit. Not sure why I do that.

First I must say the extensions primary function works really well, if that is all you care about ignore the 2 star score or the rest of the review.

Where I feel missed led is the "recommended" tag from Firefox. I assumed it guaranteed some sort of privacy/protection grantee or criteria that had to be followed. It apparently does not as I read the policy of both the larger company and the specifics of the extension. Their overarching policy of Learneo(main company) in general is horrendous with AI trained on your data and selling you info to third party sight and much more.

The worst in my opinion that stems from the extension is that it will send 15 strings (symbols like letters and numbers) before and after EVERY ignored suggestion. This might include personal sensitive details such as, passwords, emails and much more.

So yeah if you care about privacy or privet details don't enable it on most sights or remove the extension entirely.

(Be aware though that removing it will send them information like the URL for the last website used the service on)

Sans blague c'est le correcteur le plus recommandé alors qu'il ne connait pas des mots tout simples tel que "moi" ou "depuis" et la liste est tres longue!!! du coup il ne me sert qu'a moitié limite a rien puisque je dois moi meme rechercher les fautes non detectées! donc desolée mais hop ca dégage dans les 30 secondes qui suivront cet avis objectif... DESINSTALLATION :) et j'ai beau chercher apparemment aucun correcteur n'est efficace et/ou demande des renseignements totalement inutiles que l'on ne possede meme pas en tant qu'utilisateur lambda.(MerciApp par exemple! meme pas testé puisque je n'ai pas pu repondre a toutes leurs exigences... bref) dans l'espoir de voir un jour apparaitre un correcteur digne de ce nom et efficace sans etre trop intrusif non plus dans les conditions d'installation et bien entendu GRATUIT! a bon entendeur :)

Qual é o ponto de usar uma extensão que promete ajudar na escrita, se mesmo quando ela detecta erros no texto, a extensão NÃO diz o que está errado no texto, mesmo com o contador dizendo que há erros.

too intrusive

Good add-on although it doesn't have a dark mode. So every time you try to correct a misspelled word or anything you get a blinding white pop-up. And what's funny is on this add-on website there's a whole article talking about dark mode and how great it is.

was good once, but for whatever reason isn't working for me anymore in FF, no settings are saved and doesn't appear anymore in any text or spelling corrections etc.
Settings aren't saved anymore no matter what I do.
Gonna fully remove and reinstall and if it still doesn't work gonna look for something else, thankfully there seem to be many competitors in this field.
Not sure why it seems to be working for everybody else still but not for me, based on the reviews by others. Worked fine in the past but then just stopped.

its ok for basic spelling mistakes but has real difficulty with some words people would spell phonetically I'm dyslexic so I spelled definite like this defenate. The add on offered me two options to correct the mistake defecate and def enate. I'll forgive defecate as the app could have thought it was a mistype but to not offer definite when I typed it in google and the correct spelling was the first thing google offered. Also loads of names of places are flagged as a mistake Shinjuku for example. I wouldn't recommend this add on in its current state.

Personally I hated this extension and uninstalled it. The grammar checking function is extremely irritating (it doesn't seem to get the idea of casual English where you don't necessarily want to have loads of commas everywhere) and there doesn't seem to be a way of permanently disabling it. It also constantly offers me unwanted style guides for "improving" the style of my English (by upgrading to a paid version). This is probably fine if you are writing English as a second language, but it isn't suitable for native speakers wanting to catch awkward spellings or typos.

Money-grubbing BS. Useless for anything longer than 1,000 words, unless you upgrade to the paid version.

Dark mode for every website. Take care of your eyes, use dark theme for night and daily browsing.
