Update - thought I'd removed it, but it was still there. So I tried again and said it can't remove this addon.. and blah blah about why.. that's just stupid and unforgivable. Probably the answer to "Why" is because he has it doing some other BS and added some cheap hack to make it not remove with a standard remove command. I'll fix that, no prob, but many may have trouble and I don't have the time, interest, or patience to look through the source to see if he's doing anything that's not nice to people as well.
I just wonder - why? There's so many zillions of password storage programs that also generate them.. built into tons of stuff, and of course the best, Keepass - been on the net almost as long as me. Open source, of course, but also certified encryption routines code by ISO and some other(s) (I think) and it's password generator is even more flexible, will generate a few dozen and you can pick one if you like it, and it also tells you the bit complexity of any generated password, as well as it has security to prevent a password copied by it to the clipboard from being read by any other process.
I still give it 5, as it does mostly what it says, but as happysurf said 4 years ago, keepass will allow you to see the password if you wish, as well as erase the secured copy buffer after a specified number of seconds... but besides the best, and certified, and been around for decades.. there's SO many... Good effort, though, nothing wrong, just better stuff out there already. No offence.
