I simply need a way to download photos to specific folders on my NAS and this does the trick exactly. I don't necessarily use some of the more advanced features but just being able to right click and save to a large variety of folders I've set up (and having hotkeys to jump to them quickly) has saved me a significant amount of time. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 has to do with the options UI. considering how many folders I have set up, messing with the path list is pretty tedious. I wish it either had a proper UI (not just a textbox but an actual interactable list you can add to), or allowed for automatically importing from a txt file so I could update it dynamically using scripts.
However, this is honestly a really minor complaint. I have very few issues.
Some of the negative reviews seem to think this addon has no value because it doesn't work for their specific use case, and some even claim there is no other point. These people are just wrong. I honestly would have gone mad if this didn't exist. I probably wouldn't even bother collecting the photos I do without it.
I highly recommend save in! - Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele bitelse, před 5 lety
- Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele P S, před 5 letyI like this a lot, especially since it's the only one of the genre I've found that generate the context menu and correctly save an image from a link. However, since I don't want or need to use sub-dirs, it' still adding an extra step since I have to click the save in context menu and then a second click on the first item int he sub menu.
Any chance you can add an option to skip the sub-menu? Ie just save to default directory without having to go to second level menu. If so, this would get a five. - Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele Uživatel Firefoxu - 11440590, před 5 letyGoogle traductor spanish.
Thanks for the extension, it is fantastic, however since I have more than 500 folders and subfolders and writing a line for each one with its submenus is exhausting, I would like if you can make it recognize them all at once. Thanks for your attention.
Gracias por la extension, es fantastica, sin embargo ya que yo tengo mas de 500 carpetas y subcarpetas y escribir una linea para cada una con sus submenus es agotador, me gustaria si se puede hacer que las reconozca todas de una sola vez. - Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele Namu, před 6 letyThis is the closest I've found as a replacement for downthemall in FF 57+. Yes I need to prepare symlinks in advance because I typically save to external drive. I do agree with quantum's secure design to keep FF from having the ability to modify the host system but it has crippled almost every webapi download extension. This one suggests the workaround and has enough customization options so that I could mimic (and perhaps even improve) on my previous method with downthemall. The extension has successfully allowed me to take down the last block to upgrading to the latest FF by letting me simply right click to download images or links as conveniently as I used to. My only suggestions for improvement would be to simplify the options page and also have saving links or saving source part of the context menu (instead of having to keep switching them in the options page).
- Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele Uživatel Firefoxu - 14506929, před 6 letyLike most people I was looking for a replacement for Save File To since it stopped working for me even in the legacy version of FF. This is almost but not quite it. I have many deeply nested directories and need to be able to route images to them quickly. Manually typing out everything that needs to go into the context menus isn't feasible. I was hoping that there would be a dynamic drilldown from the context menu itself, which would only require the user to specify the root once, but it doesn't work like that. If you specify C:\images, that's all you get. It doesn't show more submenus under that unless you go to the settings and laboriously add them all.
Going as far as you can and shift-clicking for a dialog then using the "recent" directories works ok, but this extension would be a life-changer if it let you choose subdirectories more dynamically. - Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele tombones, před 7 letyA huge relief to have a functional version of this essential feature in the new Firefox. The only piece missing from similar legacy extensions (unless I'm missing something) is the ability to nest a group of folders in a submenu. One of the main places I use to sort images has 20 subfolders, and listing all those on the main level of the menu would be impractical. Right now I'm just holding shift & opening the save dialog for that folder to choose the subfolder I want, but being able to nest the menu (assuming it's possible with webextensions) would help a lot. Adding some kind of character that could designate a specific folder as "always open the save dialog" (regardless of shiftkey) would be handy too. Thanks for developing this, keep up the great work!

To "anonymous user 5f8d7a": I found a workaround to this rule by modifying the browser's default download folder in >Preferences to an upper level of folder (Home in my case since I am using Linux). Hope it help. - Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele jnewman, před 7 letyExcellent add-on. It would be still more useful if one could save pages to .url shortcuts in the default directory (without all the nested subdirectories). That is, "save pages shortcuts" in the same exact way as "save links shortcuts". Also, it would great if there were toolbar button for saving page shortcuts.

zveřejněno před 7 letyThe nested subdirectories issue was a bug and should have been fixed. Thanks for using the addon! - Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele Uživatel Firefoxu - 13525635, před 7 lety
- Hodnocení: 4 z 5od uživatele Oren Kreps, před 7 letyWith symlinks, this extension works well for my needs. One function I would add if possible is to open a dialog if the file being saved has a duplicate name in the directory instead of automatically renaming it.
