Simple and effective, however the support site leads to 'Voice Recorder Online' – that is, not support for Word Count Tool.

'Word Count' by Trishul might be slightly better.

It doesn't give me the correct Chinese character count for a long article. It should be over thousand characters, but only reports 150. Also wish there's an option to ignore Chinese punctuation symbols.
