- Be ye forewarned... do not jump right into this or any other open tab manager if you have a lot of currently opened tabs that you expect the extension to help you sort out.
My fault really, but intending to just look around, I hovered & then clicked to stash on a filtered selection. Not seeing a way to pause, cancel or undo; I could only let it run. How bad could it be?
It not only "stashed" the ~500 tabs from the filtered selection, but threw the other 3200 tabs in with. Then to my horror found that it put every single one of the 3700 tabs into "hidden tabs".
I only learned of this after a frantic race to shut down every other process & service on the machine to free up as much of the 32GB as possible, praying that Fx wouldn't crash.
It finally ended, and after wasting a bunch of time trying to find a solution, have now resolved to spending more time cleaning up the resulting mess than it would have taken without the help of the extension.
Badly needs an Undo. Badly needs Select/Unselect All on filtered lists. There's not even the ability to Tap-Space to keep selecting in a list, it's a slog of one-click-at-a-time. Badly needs a setting to only affect what is selected and don't mess with anything else.开发者回应
发布于 4 天前So if I'm reading this right, it sounds like you were expecting "Stash all tabs" to stash only the tabs matching the search. That's a fair point; I've made a note to look into this further.
I'm afraid I don't really understand the rest of your post, though, because:
- When Tab Stash hides/stashes tabs, it's not going to use any more resources than before (i.e. your memory usage will stay the same or decrease), so I don't really understand why the rush to free up memory?
- There IS a single-click "undo" for an accidental "stash all tabs", which is to simply unstash the group that was created.
- You can select multiple tabs at once by shift+clicking, just like you would in Windows Explorer or Finder. There's no need to select each tab individually. (And yes, this respects filtering, so you can select an entire list of filtered tabs with one click and one shift+click.)
Anyway, I hope this helps, and if you'd like any more help, feel free to open an issue on GitHub! - 评分 2 / 5来自 Shoes4Clues, 6 个月前While the interface is great, the main reason I got this was to save memory. I'm not sure if this is a Firefox issue or an issue with the extension itself, but the tabs that are stashed still take up memory.

发布于 6 个月前Tab Stash will indeed save you memory, as it will automatically unload stashed tabs that haven't been used in a while. If you'd prefer that stashed tabs are closed completely when they are stashed, this can be changed in Tab Stash's options. Hope this helps! 开发者回应
发布于 6 个月前Yes...? That is indeed the point of Tab Stash. I have to admit I don't understand your review at all, but if you're having trouble, feel free to open an issue on GitHub and I'd be happy to help!- I have tried multiple times to use this add-on because the promise of it is great. However, most recently, I just lost all my tabs to it by stashing them all, then searching for all the redundant tabs I had open of my email, and closing them. This turned out to delete all my tabs, not just the email, irrecoverably. If anyone knows a good tab manager which closes tabs and saves them and lets me delete whole groups of tabs without deleting everything, I would be very interested.
Also, you should keep in mind that the tabs here are not closed but simply hidden.开发者回应
发布于 6 个月前Sorry to hear that! It's possible this is an issue with your email provider and not Tab Stash. Like most other tab-saving add-ons, Tab Stash saves tabs by remembering their URLs. What you're describing might happen if your email provider doesn't assign unique URLs to each email.
One way to test this is to open a specific email message, bookmark the page, and close the tab. Then use the bookmark to open your email again. If your email provider doesn't show that same email message, then it's unlikely to work with Tab Stash or any other tab-saving add-on, I'm afraid.
If, however, you DO get back to the same email message, then it's a problem with Tab Stash and I'd love to get a bug report on GitHub, so I can troubleshoot with you further. - 评分 2 / 5来自 Firefox 用户 17874178, 1 年前Cluttered and too complicated for what I want which is just saving groups of tabs and restoring them. I don't need so many settings and buttons and behaviors, making it a chore to use.

发布于 1 年前Sorry to hear you found it cluttered; I'd love to hear what you think is unnecessary, as I've tried to keep most of the more advanced features out of the way. - 评分 2 / 5来自 Bekohanfula, 2 年前2.12.0.1 version. Icons for control buttons in the side bar under "Open Tabs" or "Unstashed Tabs" are not visible. You can only tell what the button does by waiting for a mouse-over tool tip. I wanted to try out the full page tab group management but am uninstalling before finding it. RAM use was not affected by activating this extension.

发布于 2 年前Sorry to hear you're having trouble. I saw your bug report—unfortunately, if the browser gets into a bad state, there's really nothing Tab Stash can do about it. I'm glad to hear you were able to resolve the issue by clearing your session data.

I am using an i7-6700K 4 core CPU running windows 10, which is still a decent powered computer so I really do not know if Tab Stash slowed my computer or just Firefox. I gave Tab Stash two stars for a great list of features, maybe I will try it again in a few months.开发者回应
发布于 3 年前Hi, there are two known issues in Tab Stash which can cause high CPU usage (see my replies to the other reviews below). However, resetting Firefox should address both issues. So, since you have reset Firefox, I would hope and expect you won't see high CPU from Tab Stash again.
However, if you do notice high CPU usage even after resetting Firefox, please feel free to open an issue on GitHub and I'd be happy to troubleshoot with you further. 开发者回应
发布于 4 年前Hi, there are a few possible reasons for this, some of which are caused by Firefox itself--you can check this bug report on GitHub to see if any of the situations apply to you: https://github.com/josh-berry/tab-stash/issues/175
And if the suggestions there don't help, please feel free to open another bug report on GitHub and I'll be happy to take a look.- Was pretty excited about this, but was having trouble stashing tabs - Eventually realized that the tabs have to be UNPINNED in order for the stash functions to work as intended? I kept selecting multiple pinned tabs and trying to stash to a group but it wouldn't work that way unless they were unpinned. I have at least 15-20+ tabs pinned at all times and having to unpin them to stash in groups is kind of a deal-breaker :-( If I am missing something please respond!
开发者回应
发布于 4 年前Yes, Tab Stash explicitly ignores pinned tabs, because pinning a tab usually indicates a desire to keep the tab open and available at all times.
It sounds like you might have a different way of using pinned tabs, and I'd like to hear more--how do you use pinned tabs, and when would you want to be able to stash a pinned tab directly (without unpinning it first)?
If you'd like to share any thoughts on this, I'd love to discuss in a feature request: https://github.com/josh-berry/tab-stash/issues/new?template=feature_request.md
