The old version was better. Too many clicks to achieve what was already fine.

Last update is weird. Before all common tasks were to 1-2 clicks away, now are 3-6 clicks away. Is it needed to break the usability?

It became much better with the options "Click items to autofill on Vault view" and "Show quick copy actions on Vault".

I rerate back to 5 stars. Bitwarden is the best password manager.

Update 2: It's still buggy, and it makes it so much more tedious to use.

Update : Kudos to Bitwarden for listening to the users and making some of the UI changes reversible. I *still* feel like the extension (and the app) are more visually cluttered and less performant, but it's back to "good enough" at least.

We don't want change, unless it makes things faster, smoother, safer, better. Adding extra steps (WTF... "fill" button?!) just slows down the process. Loved the product (mostly) before, but this is a huge mistake. UI changes that break UX need to at least have a toggle. Let's sort it out, folks. Then you get your stars back.

This new UI is terrible. Please give us the option to use the old UI.

It makes me want to use something else more and more every day. Since the redesign, everything takes more clicks to do, looks like a beginner backend developer done it without any knowledge in UX. Android app worked like crp for weeks. What tf
I originally wanted to rate it to 2 stars but I had a mental breakdown because of this clusterf "new" look and feel

I'm a paying user and Bitwarden has been great until now. The new extension for Firefox is a total train wreck. It takes forever to load, and it takes at least 3 clicks of the "Fill" button to work, and sometimes it won't work, period. If this is not fixed in the near future, I will be taking my password business somewhere else. The previous extension worked just fine.

Bitwarden was good. With the new update, the Firefox add-on has become unusable. The TOTP code can no longer be copied directly, you first have to click through a menu. The view has become much too large and unreadable!

I've had the pleasure of using and paying for the services of Bitwarden for years. The extension was truly a perfect example of usability and reliability.

However, the new version is incredibly clunky, filled with bugs and the way the Bitwarden team is "handling" the negative feedbacks by the users, is making me question both my loyalty and my future subscriptions.

A sad example of how a company grows thanks to its loyal user base, only for that company to suddenly turn on them and value profit over the very people that made it what it was.

Been using and paying for Bitwarden for a few years now.... not for much longer!
This last update has clearly not been very well tested. Now get some strange random effects in the extension using it on linux and the font is too small and cannot be changed.

more cheesy UI is even hard to imagine, why was it necessary to spoil what worked well....

I Love Bitwarden! it does everything it says very well. I only gave it 4 stars because, I hate the new look and feel! it is not as pleasant and user friendly to me as the old classic was! I wish they offered an option to use classic mode! I was very happy with that!

Update 2025.01.21: Updating review to 3/5 starts. There is now a setting to restore clicking on the item to fill. Updating review to 3/5 stars as only time will tell if the developer has learned to communicate out major, workflow breaking changes before they make them but things seem like they may be headed in the correct direction for now.

The latest update to the extension added a ton of complexity and clicks to what should be simple password management and form filling. I guess unless this gets fixed I will be canceling my annual subscription renewal and would encourage anyone else to do so as well since money talk.s

I legit don't know what the folks at Bitwarden were thinking with the recent revamp of the user interface. It is objectively worse in many respects. Operations now require more clicks, more screen real-estate is taken up by things that are used less often, and the decision to change the default behavior for a context-selected auto-fill entry from fill to edit, and move the fill function to a tiny button, is an incredibly hair-brained regression.
For Pete's sake, you could have made it look prettier without crippling the functionality.

Last update is a downgrade on my usage workflow. It used to have a separated link/button for user or password copy and now there is a inline menu to show which one you need to copy. It is one more click needed against the claimed user experience update.

Oh, man. I've been LOVING BW and this FF Add-on for years. That is, until now. They just released an "update" that completely ruins it IMO. They took a streamlined, efficient, compact design and handed it off to someone freshly out of the "how to design unusable SW school" who decided to redesign everything using huge text, icons, and burying everything you need in a menu. Now, to do what took a click before takes several. The larger text and extra buttons reduces usability drastically, by shortening what you can see of the names of your entries in the Vault, forcing you to guess or "hover and wait" to see the pop-up to tell you what you are looking at. Also, they take up about 5 acres of screen real estate with a new "+NEW" button at the top, as if the simple, elegant, and non-intrusive "+" from before wasn't sufficient. Geezus... Somebody took a perfectly good solution and ruined it. It is my hope that they are inundated with complaints and revert these ridiculous changes to the previous version.

New UI sucks. Not going to rehash everything that's already been said and ignored. Guess I'm downgrading and disabling auto updates, love that I feel a need to do that on a password manager.
