- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Cyberdyne, vor 2 MonatenI use this extension for one feature, and one feature only — pull to refresh. The built-in Firefox Android pull to refresh option is straight up broken, and has been broken for years now. After trying many pull to refresh extensions, it's clear to me this one gets the job done best. No more random unintended refreshes.
Some small annoyances preventing five stars though. "Simple gestures for Android" is full of other options that you need to disable one by one, then enable only pull to refresh, it's a pretty tedious process. Selecting a good gesture window/delay time is tricky, too long and you'll trigger some accidental refreshes, too short and you won't be fast enough to trigger a refresh when you want one. Ideally I should be using a longer delay window and have the ability to swipe up to cancel it. But, clearly the gesture engine here doesn't support something like that. That said, the 750ms time I've settled on works well enough, and still far better than the built in Firefox pull to refresh.
One bug I've encountered is, if a page fails to load, pull to refresh (and probably the entire extension) doesn't function at all. You essentially need a fully loaded html website to do your refresh. It's not a common issue, but every now and then you'll run into a bad spot for internet, or a link will be temporarily broken, forcing you to use the traditional refresh button. This may not actually be a bug though — I'm not sure that extensions can interact with an empty web page.Antwort des Entwicklers

I understand what you mean — it’s definitely tedious to turn off everything just to use pull-to-refresh. I’m planning to release a separate extension dedicated only to pull-to-refresh. I had paused the project for a while because of some bugs and lack of motivation, but I’m planning to restart development. It may take some time before it’s ready, though.

You're absolutely right — there should be a way to cancel the gesture by swiping up. I’ll fix that in the next version (it might take a little time for Mozilla’s review process).
For now, you can actually cancel a pending gesture by moving your finger far enough upward (or sideways), so please use that as a temporary workaround.
> I'm not sure that extensions can interact with an empty web page.
Yes, you’re correct — the extension doesn’t work on blank or failed-to-load pages. I’ve confirmed that extensions can’t interact with empty web pages, so this behavior is expected.
Thank you very much for your detailed and thoughtful feedback!
Edit: 2025.12.29

I released a new add-on.
There are still only a few settings available, but please give it a try.

I think it's fixed in 3.34.1, but if it doesn't work, I'll overwrite it with the version 3.33.2! - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Чувак, vor einem JahrPlease add gesture for switching tabs. And maybe add two finger swipes.

The API provided by Firefox is unstable, but you can use it by turning on “Enable experimental features” on the settings page.
> And maybe add two finger swipes.
Sorry, it will take some time to work on this.
I'll add it to the issues list.

v3.27 supports this. - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Dan, vor 2 JahrenIt's a useful extension but there's one issue. If you have one tab open and you close it with a gesture, that tab freezes. It doesn't open the homepage.

I fixed to hide the timeouts when 'Diaplay Command' is disabled in v3.12.2.

- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Nikhil, vor 6 JahrenIts a really nice extension. There is one small issue I noticed. If I do Next Tab gesture in the last tab, it cycles to the first tab. But the same is not possible for Prev Tab gesture when on the first tab.

But just to be sure, I changed the logic a little in 2.22.2.

But the "timeout" setting is not working as intended.
imo the timeout timer should reset it self if the user's finger is still moving
Thus 1000ms timeout means "if the user's finger stop moving for 1 second, stop gesture detection"
The current logic is, however, "I gave you 1 second to finish your gesture, no matter the gesture is super simple that you need to wait 800ms after finished it or it's super complex that you can barely draw half of it in 1 second", this is counter-intuitive.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor 7 JahrenI fixed it.
(However, if the moving distance is short, it times out.)

- Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 12817722, vor 8 JahrenThank you for making this. mobile browsing hasnt been the same since quick gestures bit the dust.
Only thing missing is a notification that pops up (R-L-U) when gestures are registered as they are being made. this is useful both for getting a better feel for the gestures you use and for preventing unintended gesture related incidentsAntwort des Entwicklers

新しいタブでabout:blankや指定したサイトは開けるのにabout:homeが開けないことだけが惜しいです。 - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon Firefox-Benutzer 13359996, vor 8 JahrenThis would be a great replacement for quick gestures, except that it is missing the gestures I use most: forward and back. Is there any chaice …. I'd also like open private tab, but that is _much_ less important.
