- Bewertet mit 2 von 5 Sternenvon SX, vor 6 TagenThis extension still continues to experience incredible latency while loading 7tv Emotes (specifically). The cdn-7tv-app domain used to host the emotes gets 100-250ms response times for just about everywhere in the world aside from a very small region (Sweden, if I recall correctly). Either it is using super inexpensive hosting with no peering agreements, or its suffering from its own success and being constantly overloaded.
I realize it is possible that we began experiencing these issues after firefox/browsers may have made changes affecting file caching, or other aspects. However I wonder if there are better ways now to manage the emotes platform. If it is THAT high of latency to most places, it would be nice if they could find ways to keep the most used emotes in storage/cache longer, or load non-animated emotes as image maps or animated ones as image packs. Bigger initially but much faster every moment thereafter.
I hope someone comes along to solve this issue that is lagging most users of 7tv emotes all around the world. - Bewertet mit 4 von 5 Sternenvon sixty, vor 22 Tagenemotes are working currently, still kinda slow loading

it now asks permission to view all of your browsing data and the contents of all pages you visit.
DON'T INSTALL THIS SPYWARE!!

This change took power on November 3rd. However, the last time I updated the extension was on 14th of November (you can see it by clicking RMB on the extension, then 'manage extension'), which proves their reason is made up.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem MonatAs per the Mozilla article, developers had until the first half of 2026 to adhere to the changes. I understand it is needed in order to display your emotes and whatnot but in my opinion the devs should read out the relevant websites ONLY, not ALL of them.
Totally ridiculous, if you ask me.
I take my privacy quite seriously, hence my 1-star rating. Obviously, I've also uninstalled it.
Until the devs change this, my review shall remain neutral.

Edited on 25 May 2026:
Developer(s) have responded to my concerns - if what they claim is true, this is quite unfortunate.
Bumping up my rather negative 1 star to 4 stars.
I wish Mozilla would allow granular control over what websites are read/transmitted, meaning that this extension has to read any and all websites - it is something that the developers have no control over, sadly. They have come forward explaining what they collect and why, and I'm quite happy with that. The extension does work well, and if you cannot live without your animated emotes, well then you have no choice.
I also realised my negative sentiments are better directed at Mozilla and how they have implemented their data consent flow.
Thank you for responding @7tv team, I appreciated that.Antwort des Entwicklers
geschrieben am vor einem MonatHello, I understand your concern. I'd like to make it clear that we are unable to specify which website(s) we ask data consent for. Firefox's data consent flow only gives us the option to specify whether or not we collect/transmit said data type. For more information, see: https://extensionworkshop.com/documentation/develop/firefox-builtin-data-consent/.
The "browsingActivity" data consent is exclusively used to transmit your user presence on Twitch/Kick, so that your cosmetics show up in chat. We do not store this data.
The "websiteContent" data consent is only there for the "/song" command, as it sends a snippet of the stream you're watching to the AudD Music Recognition API. - Bewertet mit 1 von 5 Sternenvon Bisnesmies, vor einem MonatExtension broke chat box so you have to update it and give your data as part of the update.
